sorry to bring this up again, but on Troy Brown's fumbled punt return one of my coworkers (who hates the Pats, is a Steelers fan) said that it should have been called fair catch interference as Brown was tackled before the ball hit the ground. We all remember from the Chargers-Steelers monday night game that the receiver has every chance to catch the ball without interference before the ball hits the ground.
My question is, would this play have been challengeable? Could they throw a flag after seeing Brown hit before the ball hit the ground?
I know that we did not have any challenges at the time (remember we had to waste one on the Asante Samuel interception)
