    Can't believe that anyone really thought this would happen. Unlike Ratgini, McD is still coachable.

    I think he relizes he has a lot to learn. Being a HC is a lot different that being an OC.

    He made the right move.

    He is in now way ready right now to be a head coach.

    To stop from becoming the next Norv Turner, McDaniels did a smart thing to get more experience.

    This guy needs to pick up other aspects of the game, like understanding defense, the various defensive positions, special teams, how the units all work together, and also learn some scouting so he knows what kinds of players he wants in the future.

    Maybe McDaniels can stick around for 2 more years, then become a HC at some other place, then after he's fired there, he will be ready to be successful as Belichick's replacement in 2013!

    He's not an idiot - he sees what's going on with Mangina, and doesn't want that to be him next.
