Dumbest thing I heard on NFL live

Let me settle

The Patriots have proven they don't have to "compete" with anyone since they have beaten all these teams in the playoffs/regular season/ AFCCG. How they can compete has already happened.

The Steelers win some kudos but have proven they cannot beat the Pats. It's valid to ask if the Steelers can compete with the Pats because they show no ability to beat the Pats at crunch time. It's also valid NOT to ask since they have won two Super Bowls.

It's valid to ask if the Colts can compete with the Steelers and Chargers since they haven't beat them in the playoffs but they have beaten the Pats so asking/ not asking is valid.

"How can they...." is not valid (without a qualifier) if it has already happened.

Were we not beating you after 3 quarters two years ago in the Dome (without Harrison, Gonzalez, or Ugoh)? U serious with this crap that the Colts aren't a threat?

And what does this make, the 5th year in a row that the Colts are done? :p

AND the officials giving you every possible call and break.....

A football game is 60 minutes/ four quarters for a reason.

Also, use the reverse logic and apply to the 2007 AFCCG. Without the bogus calls, the Pats are up 28-3 or 24-3 at halftime and cruise to a 14 point win.

The ref argument is the same one that Patriots fans b!tched about Colts using for years.

I think your missing the point. The Colts have been beat twice in a row by the hands of the Chargers in the playoffs. Obviously, the Chargers have shown they can beat the Colts, that's why they shouldn't be considered in the question.

You do know the Colts beat the Chargers last year right? So I'm going to use your logic again. The Colts have shown that they can beat the Chargers.

It's definate. ****** level intelligence is required to be an Indianapolis Colts fan:

Ofcourse, Pats fans reference heavily biased officiating. We continually reference this for the one simple fact that it's factually true. Bogus Troy Brown interference, face guarding, Caldwell rape but no call are facts of reality.

Once again, the Chargers beat the Dolts in the playoffs trwo years in a row. it's a STUPID question to ask how can the Chargers compete because actual history has provided two examples.

Likewise, is a less but still silly question to ask if the Dolts can compete with the Bolts because the Dolts have beat the Bolts in the regular season.

Good (albeit confusing) post but you should remember that those two Super Bowl wins for the Steelers came in years when they didn't have to actually go up against the Pats.

No, this is another case of Patriot fans making an argument that is the exact same argument that they would except from another fan base years before.
When Colts fans were complaining about all the no calls in the playoff games in New England the mantra around here was quit b!tching and whining about the refs.

The difference is that when the Pats beat the Colts in the playoffs in 2003 and 2004, it was CONVINCING. In 2003, even though the final score didn't show it, the Pats were in control that entire game. In 2004, the final score was 20-3. So you can see why we would think that Colts fines whining about no calls back then was a little ridiculous. So far, the Colts have yet to beat the Pats in the playoffs in convincing fashion. They really haven't done it in the regular season either with the exception of 2005.

It's dumb to say that this is even CLOSE to being the dumbest thing heard on NFL LIve unless it's the only thing that's ever been heard.

I love it whenever the Pats beat the Colts. But there has been no team I was more nervous of facing in the last 10 years than Indy. They may very well have issues to worry about this season (most teams do). They have an all-time QB and enough players on the roster to beat anyone, anywhere, any week.

2009 might not be their peak season. But I bet I'm not the only one who'll be a bit tense when they play NE this year.

We're talking playoffs, not regular season.

So ... do you ask yourself what the Patriots will have to do to compare to teams like the Giants & Broncos? Granted the Pats have beat them in the regular season ... but we're talking playoffs. The Broncos loss may seem irrevelant to you now, but since that game, the Pats are 0-1 against the Colts in the playoffs.

What the people on NFL Live were saying is that the Patriots, Steelers, & Colts are the established powers in the AFC. They've climbed the mountain which the Chargers seek to climb.

And finally, it's an interesting argument, mocking a team for choking in the playoffs, when your team choked in week 11, thus missing the playoffs.

As I suspected, one has to be a ****** to be a Colts fan. AGAIN, the Bolts have hammered the Dolts in the playoffs the last two years. since something has happened; it's silly to ask how can it happen.

For the Bolts to reach the big dance, they have two options:

Avoid anything to do with the Pats in the playoffs (Steelers)

Find officials to give you the game (Dolts)

Kon

Exactly, both questions are valid since the Steelers have proven:

They can win the Super Bowl only by avoiding the Pats

Can't beat the Pats in the playoffs.

If someone has done something there is zero question they can do it.

If someone hasn't done something it's a legit question. However, other factors can make not asking the question legit.

Hammered? Six and four points. Come on, people will take you more seriously if you stop drinking the hateraid and act realistic.
