Got a question re the parlays. In any shop I've gambled in, a push in a parlay is a push. For example, if I did a 6 game parlay and won 5 and tied one, it would pay out as a 5 game parlay win and not a loss. Now, it's your sports book so you get to make the rules, but that is a little unusual.
It is definitely the casino's call, and you are right, most allow an overall push for this scenario.
I decided to go with "a push is a loss" on teasers and parlays mainly because everything else in this game favors the bettors. Most of the O/U bets I provide would normally be (-110 or -120) rather than the (+100) I do. Even straight game bets wouldn't be paid at (+100) like I do. Even some of the teaser odds were rounded to (+200) or (+300).
None of these were done because I am a nice guy! It's all about the math and my sanity. Calculating bank rolls based on hundreds of bets each week is time consuming. Having +100 and other round payoffs makes it bearable. If I had to do the calculations for +110 and +120 for all these bets, I would quit. Or I would ask Ian for a raise.
Last year, we had a 2 bet, 7 point teaser that paid (-120) I think. I got rid of it this year because it created weird payoffs that were not round numbers. Screw that!
So that is the roundabout reason for pushes killing parlays and teasers. A small attempt to even the odds a little bit in favor of the house.
