Re: Did we sign another OL today (sept 1)?

LeVoir is from the Rams. I wouldn't consider them a "divisional rival"

I have a subscription. I just read the same thing. His name is Jacob Bender.
He was drafted in 6th round of last years draft. The Scout.com report says that he will be added today, probably to the practice squad.

Thanks! Bender was a guy a lot of draftniks here liked as a late-round project last year. The pre-draft reports summarized to: "Not a huge road grader, but quick with good awareness and good with his hands. Strong run blocker but raw in pass protection."

Funny how the Jets picked up our day-2 OL castoffs from 2007, and we're picking up their day-2 OL castoffs. Apparently Mangini's approach to personnel was simply to use the exact criteria he was taught in Foxboro (or target the exact players he was told about?).

That would be LeVoir wouldn't it? it's on the front page

I have a subsription. It's Bender formerly of the Jets. He was a draft pick of theirs last year.

Article says it will be announced tomorrow, and he'll go to the practice squad. Article says some nice things about his abilities in college.

We have a pretty solid track record of developing OL on the practice squad, so he sounds like a good project guy.

Bender to the PS is :woohoo: fun. Good fodder for the Scarnecchia Big Men Can Dance Academy.

According to Reiss...it may be on the team NOT the PSqd...he points out how there is no interior lineman to backup Mankins and Yates.(Hoch/Connolly injured)..I was thinking they would move Yates..and Kaxzur and have Britt at tackle..but that is a lot of changes...so it makes more sense to geta backup...he mentions Bender as a possibility..so??? I think a roster move..

Whom would you cut to create an opening?
