With today's victory over the Colts, Belichick is now 62 games over .500 in regular season games for his career (156-94). That ties him for 10th place all time with Vince Lombardi and Bud Grant. Next up is George Allen at 69 games over .500. Other notable names are Tony Dungy (+70), John Madden (+71), and Marty Schottenheimer (+74).

If postseason games are included, Belichick is 72 games over .500 (171-99). That ranks 6th all time. John Madden is fifth at 73 games over .500. Unless Belichick has a scheme to defeat the aging process, the top two positions are out of his reach. He does, however, have a realistic shot at overtaking Curly Lambeau for 3rd place all-time if he sticks around for 3 or 4 more years or begins another long winning streak.

1) Don Shula: +172 reg; +2 postseason = +174 total
2) George Halas: +170 reg; +3 postseason = +173 total
3) Curly Lambeau: +94 reg; +1 postseason = +95 total
4) Tom Landry: +88 reg; +4 postseason = +92 total
5) John Madden: +71 reg; +2 postseason = +73 total
6) Bill Belichick: +62 reg; +10 postseason = +72 total

Indeed, congrats BB.

Of course, we all know the Colts fans won't count those playoff wins. Only the regular season counts, for obvious reasons.
