College Football Playoff National Championship 2024 - Wolverines / Huskies

Michigan fans are so annoying. Greatest helmets and unis, though.

Dude has so many injuries maybe in the third round for me
Yeah man

I know it’s not fair to judge someone off of one game, but Penix looked tonight as if he doesn’t belong on an NFL roster.

McCarthy didn’t look much better if at all…he looks like a career NFL journey man QB if even that.

They weren’t the ones missing the throws all over the field.
Yeah the dude has a rocket launcher (67 air yard throw on a PI on Odunze last game), but he threw it way late at 3.83sec post snap, so Odunze basically had to stop even though he was wiiiiiiide open. Funny seeing a 67 air yard throw look like a moon shot underthrow.

Now you know why I'd try to trade our 2nd rder for Justin Fields rather than dip into the Penix/McCarthy/Nix pool.

Heck Im not thrilled with the prospect of taking Daniels or Maye early.
Fields EPA as a starter is near Zach Wilson level. Maye's floor is a running Baker Mayfield and has a Josh Allen level ceiling.
Daniels is interesting because his deep ball throws are thing of beauty, and he is a true dual threat. He worked on his craft and has improved his mechanics so much they are actually really, really good overall. Needs to decide quicker on mid level throws, needs to beef up frame a tad more like he did last off season. Incredibly hard worker. Fields mechanics still stink 3 years later.
Daniels is better than Fields year 1, which sounds great until you realize Fields is a backup QB at best. But if you like Fields you will absolutely like Maye of Daniels better.

Another 5hitty National Championship game.

Washington like TCU a couple of years ago, did not belong to be there. They need a better grading system for this game because just being undefeated isn't cutting the mustard. Georgia with 1 loss vs Michigan would have been a barn burner of a match.

My buddy is a Bears fan and convinced more than ever that the Bears need a QB at # 1. The GB game sealed the deal.

1 Chicago - QB the Bears will screw it up. Just watch.
2 Washington - WR Harrison Jr. Howell has shown enough IMO.
3 New England - ?

We shall see. Chicago's coaching changes and offense have been a huge problem for Fields. He's got too much throwing and running ability. Fields' mechanics? That's one of his positives. For a guy who can run, he stays in the pocket and always throws from a really good base. He was a pocket passer in college.

He is taking sacks and holding the ball too long. That's for sure. And it kills drives. But this is the kind of thing that can improve.
