funny story, though fair warning, the link is to ESPN.

Mike Leach was then an assistant coach with Oklahoma and OU was playing highly-ranked and heavily favored arch-rival Texas. He devised a list of supposed game-opening play calls and practiced having a player "drop" it near UT coaches. The player "dropped" it as planned and sure enough, the UT coaches bit on it. They jumped on it like Captain Stone jumping all over a Belichick draft pick on draft night. Their D-coordinator was ready to take advantage of this unexpected windfall.

Then of course during the game Leach called plays to destroy what UT was expecting. Leach caught them totally unprepared. OU took a 17-0 first quarter lead, marching right up and down the field, before UT finally figured out that they had been had, that the play sheet was less than worthless.

From that point on UT dominated and came back to win the game. It's still a great story though. I wonder how often stuff like this happens.
