38 TDs in 10 games = 3.8 TD per game average.
    6 games left.
12 TDs to beat 49 in 6 games is 2 TD per game average.

    Opponents left on the schedule:
    '00 Ravens (I mean 4-6 Ravens)
'68 Jets (I mean 2-8 Jets that pissed off a coach)
    '72 Dolphins (I mean 0-10 Dolphins)
'04 Eagles (I mean an Eagles team with a battered secondary and half a QB.)

At this point I see 55 or more. Easily. I could see 60 if they let him play it out.

If we are 15-0 going into the meadowland and the gents are in line for a playoff game, they probably wont start alot of their top guys, give then a rest for playoffs, meaning if the pats do decide to go for it, TB could have 5-6 td's in that 1 game, IMHO...

AND Randy will catch 3 or so versus each the Jets and Dolphins, thats enough to tie Rice's record and he'll catch a couple others in the other games to break it.

The pace heis on is 61. 65 would be one more PER GAME than the current record.
That would require 4 a game plus 3 games with 5. Anyone think that is impossible?

I think that its highly likely Brady could have 7 or 8 TDs against the Jets. In fact, the Jets game could be a game where all sorts of scoring records are set.

I'd like BB to try and break the single game TD pass record against the Jets and Miami (which I believe is 8 TDs).

If Brady were to average 6 TDs in these two games (which is possible but not likely (~35% in my mind)), that would give him 50 TDs on the season with 4 games uncounted. Clearly 15 TDs in four games is possible. I'd give him 50% odds of that for a grand total of under 20%.

If Brady were to set a mark like 65, it would immediately become one of those magical unbreakable sports records, like 55.

Yup - Belichick, Brady and the entire team, at 15-0 will choose to pass up football immortality so they can get one week of rest instead of two!

He was referring to the Giants who if they have clinched a wildcard may rest up their banged up WR and others in week 17 since wildcards play on the road without a bye...

I disagree. He'd never admit it publicly, but I would think BB would want to go undefeated if he got to that point. Plus, the team already would have a bye week the next week.

I've been thinking the same thing for weeks, but lately I've changed my mind. I believe the Jets game will be played on the field like any other game this year (which is plenty amazing, anyway).

The major factors affecting their play will be the usual: injuries, weather, the opposing defensive alignment. Yes, the Pats will have a bigger chip on their shoulder, but they're playing with skill and energy every Sunday anyway. Their eyes are on the prize and the Jets are not it.

The main differences will be the fans in Foxboro, who will (and should!) taunt Mangina mercilessly, and the post-game takedown, er, handshake.

Whats the record for the most 2 point conversations? I am think that just for giggles the pats should pick either the Jets or Fish and go for 2 after each TD just to add something to the record book, and give everyone else something more to whine about.

Good idea, but as long as Gostowski is getting all his practice from exactly the same spot on the field, he might as well get a lot of it.

I would like to believe that too, but his production will be limited by the number of possessions they get. Buffalo didn't turn the ball over, so we only got 7 possessions for Brady.

I think Manning had 12 possessions against the Chargers.

If the defense can strip the ball a few times then we have a shot to get to the maximum damage level against any of these teams - another 6 TD game.

    By "gents" you meant "gints"?

Normally I'd agree but with the severe butt-thrashing the Gints would risk without their starters in there, I'd guess that it will be a regular game until the fourth quarter.

Anyway, the Gints will be in a dog fight for a wildcard right until the end, and that game most likely will be a deciding game for them. They should be playing hard, not that it will matter. They do have a good pass rush, but their secondary is "normal" which means dead meat.
