Gonna have to paraphrase from Fanball.com - have a look at the story yourself. Warning: they do follow the league from a fantasy football perspective.

However... they report that Cedric Cobbs is currently third on the depth chart, and pushing Tatum Bell and Ron Dayne.

Now, it's not above Shanahan to say this to screw with everybody's head in general, to screw with the Pats' heads in particular, to screw with the media for the heck of it, or to screw with everybody just because Shanahan's attitude is that if you're always lying, nobody will know how to parse things.

But, it's also not above him to elevate Cedric Cobbs to Messiah Du Jour status in Denver, just to prove that everybody that carries the rock for Denver is a brilliant running back, and he's just brilliant for always finding them.

What can I say... 21 days til training camp... anything remotely Pats related is fair game.

I'll take Patrick Cobbs anyday.

bet he wishes he had Belichick's new toy instead. :)

Actually, he said as much. But again... how can you tell Mike Shanahan is lying? His lips are moving...
