Let's face it. BB is Columbus and the rest of the world thinks the earth is flat. Only difference is we'll never be allowed to get to the truth of what really happened because the money and angst is heavily weighed on the other side.
I recall there being a think tank theory (before my time) that saw the way computers and automation was going. The people figured there'd be a serious concern because humans would have too much time. The think tank thought humanity would strive more towards the arts and refinement. Little did they know that computers, while allowing us to work faster, also became increasingly complicated and opened up new avenues for business and social expression.
I don't think they figured that humanity would turn on itself and try to bring the world/heroes down to their level. All the while, events turn around them...ones they feel they have little control over, that greatly affect their future.
Since when did "we" want to tear someone down like Brady. A kid who had to fight and work hard for everything he's earned. A kid who we'd be proud to call one of ours. Instead, he's vilified for being what, too good? People want to believe he's bad so they don't have to look at themselves and realize they've wasted time rather than making their dreams come true.
I say we need more people like Brady, so rock on and take the NFL* to task. Maybe it doesn't pay dividends now, but perhaps it will down the road. Either way, I'd rather make up my own mind and vote my values (in a reasonable way).
