I have no idea who Butch Sterns is. Does he joke around a lot? I hope so for his sake. BB didn't want to work for Woody Johnson and the inept Jests so why would he want to leave his lofty gig in NE for Spanos and the Deadbolts?

I had thought about posting some BS story I made up about BB leaving the Pats to coach for the Chargers, but I thought against it because of the absurdity of such a "discussion." This is ridiculous, the players there are not Belichick players, the management of that team by AJ Smith is not something BB would want (remember, he didn't want to stay with the Jets because he wouldn't have the majority of say in personnel issues because The Tuna was staying on as GM), and why leave a good thing (NE) for a highly suspect one (SD)?

    Butch Stearns is a wannabe.

He told a story about Schilling and Pedro on EEI one time (which was fasle or embelished). The self-promoter Schilling happened to be listening and called up and blasted him on the air. Stearns stuttered and stammered like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

As big an idiot as Stearns is, that was the one actual time he was right. His story was that there was a rivalry between the two guys and that they did not get along at all. Schilling called and blasted him for lying when Curt knew that it was the truth.

In the fight between a liar and a self-promoter I'll side with the self-promoter.

Sure. I am sure LaDanian would just be thrilled at the prospect.

So with BB being the top dog here with his partner Pioli, he would want to take a demotion and work for Butler in SD Sureeeeeee! ;)
