Allen appears to have been a bust in Miami and got tossed to the curb today for a 35 year old Al Harris.

Is it wrong to think he could no worse than Arrington,Wilhite or Butler?

Arrington and Allen both have 24 tackles on the year but Allen has a respectable 3 INTs already.

Is Allen a bum? or a possibility to add to the sad ass CBs we have right now?

Rather have wheatly back than sign Allen. Actually think Wilhite has been ok in the slot. made a couple nice plays on deep balls vs CLE and has generally been where he's supposed to be. I'm all for upgrading at any position but certainly not with this guy.

He's a bum and bust. He sucked playing safety and he really sucked at CB.

I don't think our CBs are sad ass. Arrington the last two games has looked like a decent #2 CB and while Mccourty is learning and making some mistakes, he has looked like a #1 CB in some games.

If Butler can get his act together thats a decent CB trio. Wilhite is wilhite.

Jonathan Wade was also waived, by the Loins.
If he goes unclaimed, then he might be worth bringing to Foxborough for an interview/workout.

We need a 5th CB; Wade or Jason Allen would prob. be better than anybody else avail.

Unless we somehow play the Vikings again... no.

Agreed. I'd love to see Butler emerge as well.

FWIW, I seem to recall the Pats really liking Allen heading into the 2006 draft. He's been a disappointment, so who knows if there will be any interest...
