    #75 Jersey

Great to see them bring in Ayodele. I like him a lot better than LeKevin Smith. Good to see something official, as well.

Lets hope Randy Hand doesn't have to get involved with Randy Gay on any CB blitzes ;)

Interesting to me that there's not a kicker among them...

I guess when you expend a 4th round draft choice you have a high degree of confidence in that person, but I say the more the merrier in terms of the competition... wouldn't matter to me if an UFA claims the job, and dethrones a 4th rounder and a Veteran FA - as long as it was the best person

After all, the last UFA kicker who managed to hang on worked out OK

"Hand can't get the job done in scrimmage, leaving Gay feeling randy"

Here's a player that interests me...

    Kader Drame (DT, Syracuse)...

    from www.nfldraftscout.com ...

Marquise Hill can use some competition.

I don't thinks so. I think these 15 are it as far as this rookie mini camp goes (although Kyler Hall is a posibbility if he doesn't sign with the Lions first - he is reported to be coming in to try out).

If you get too many newbies, you might overlook something. We have 10 draft choices and 15 UDFA's and possibly the addition of Hall for a tryout. That is 26 guys to evaluate in 2 days.

I would not be surprised if they add 6-10 for tryouts...Washington had 70 total for its mini-camp...Cleve and some other teams had many many more!! I think they could handle a few more...tryouts are one thing..signees another.

My daughter is at Syracuse, so I've watched a lot of Orange football the last 3 years. A year ago, I would have expected Drame to be drafted in '06, but the team had a dreadful year, mostly cuz the offense couldn't stay on the field. He's a massive guy who is a solid run defender, but not a threat as a pass rusher. He didn't seem to improve much as a senior, which may be why he's now a UDFA. Still, I would not have predicted that Ryan LaCasse (Syracuse DE from Stoughton) would be drafted, and Drame would not. LaCasse is the opposite, by the way - good pass rusher, weak against the run.

I'll be rooting for Drame as well, but he's a long shot. Best hope is to make the PS, then work on technique and strength for a year.
