Here’s the transcript of Bill Belichick’s Wednesday morning session with the media at Gillette Stadium: BB: I’ve spent the last couple days watching a lot of tape on the Redskins and this is a team that’s quite a bit different than the last time we saw them, in preseason a year ago. They’ve improved tremendously, particularly [...]

Chirs I have a question that you might have the answer to.
Do you remember during the offseason there was an article about the Colts GM Polian claiming "The Patriots time is over". I can't remember if it was in the Herald or Globe but if you know where it was written could you let me know? Thanks in advance.

If it helps you search, it was supposedly going up the tunnel or walking off the field after the 2006 AFCCG.

Man BB is boring I almost fell asleep reading that. Im sure some folks on this board could have held the press conference for him.

I think it was Schottenheimer who said that after the Chargers blew the Pats out at Foxboro a few years ago.

No it was definitely Polian. I haven't found a link yet though.

Below is the quote from Schottenhiemer that I was thinking of. It's similar in tone, but not as pointed. However, I recall this got under some of the players' skin.

"What they've done is remarkable," he said of the Patriots, who had their 21-game home winning streak ended.

"But at what point in time do you keep responding when you have to keep putting in new players? They've done it wonderfully over the last four years, but there comes a time where it has to catch up with you, even with a team as great as this one."
