i was always proud that our 1985 team was the ONLY NFL ever team able to go to a Super Bowl with 3 road wins.

and now Pit too...

let's hope in Seattle now...

...that the seahawks win a really good game and not let the steelers win to surpass the Pats' record?

y e s

you are perfectly right.

Aw come on, good for the Steelers. Three road playoff wins is one heck of an accomplishment and it doesn't take anything away from what the Patriots did back in '85. Kudos to them.

i agree. PIT has been really good winning @ CIN @ IND and now @ DEN.
compliments.

but...i am a Patriot fan...

and so still i always remembered and liked a lot our beautiful 1985 run (petty that we faced one of the best ever NFL team in the History: CHI) i prefered that we were the only ones.

but, again, compliments to Pittsburgh.

they played very well in the last 3 games. very well.
it could have been difficult also for us to beat them at The Razor if there was
an AFC championship between NE and them.

The difference was, the '85 Pats really were seeded where they appeared to belong. The '05 Steelers were sort of like the '05 Patriots: seeded lower than their ability due to injuries during the season (Ruthlesshamburger).

It's a great accomplishment, but not as great as the 1985 Patriots'.

You are totally correct.
The NE Patriots run in 1985 was...unbelievible.
Nobody expected it...

It was one of the first season i started to look the Nfl and i will never forget that run (i bought at that time only the newspapers to READ the result...).

I saw the Super Bowl and when we were 3-0 thks to a fg by T.Franklyn i started to dream...
But then the...reality and the Chicago Bears...
