I'm using http://walterfootball.com/draftdata.php here.

I'm only using drafts that were released after 1 June 2007 (n = 8). For ranking purposes, I did NOT use one draft which used the 2007 draft order.

In any case, without further ado. . . .

CONSENSUS DRAFT PICKS (n = 7)
[Method: average # of draft pick in drafts that included the player, plus 5 points for each draft that omitted the player entirely.]

1a. Darren McFadden, RB
1b. Jake Long, OT
3. Brian Brohm, QB
4. Calais Campbell, DE
5. Glenn Dorsey, DE
6. DeSean Jackson, WR
7. Sam Baker, OT
8. Kenny Phillips, S
9. James Laurinaitis, LB
10. Derrick Harvey, DE

PLAYERS GIVEN TO THE PATRIOTS (n = 8)
[* = based on 2007 draft order]

18 Rey Maualuga, LB/32 Antoine Cason, CB
19 Antoine Cason, CB/32 Allen Patrick, RB
14 Tommy Blake, DE/32 Ryan Clady, OT
15 Bruce Davis, DE/OLB/32 Ryan Clady, OT
25 Glenn Dorsey, DE/32 Antoine Cason, CB
* James Laurinaitis, LB/* Tyson Jackson, DE
21 Vince Hall, LB/32 Malcolm Jenkins, CB
22 Jasper Brinkley, LB/32 Vernon Gholston, DE/OLB

If we could get Cason at #32, that would be quite a steal.
Sounds like a good player and he's 6' tall.

I think my favorite scenario is that last one, although this is unlikely unless we get Samuel signed or replaced before then.

Allen Patrick confuses me. Next year's draft should be loaded with RBs. I don't see Patrick as anything more than a late draft flier.

Same here. And why would we take a RB with one of our first rounders at all???

This draft (barring injury) should have 3-4 stud QBs, 2-3 stud RBs and 2 top ten type OTs. Quality like that at the top of the board can only means good things for us at #32 and whereever the 49ers finish.
