Amazing Stat of Pats Depth and Perseverance

    Saw this in a newspaper today:
    The last 10 Super Bowl champions lost an average of 30 man-games by starters because of injury, but if one takes out the Patriots of '03 and '04 (who combined for 142 lost games), that figure drops to 19.8. That makes clear how remarkable those two Patriot championship teams were.


    That's right, the Pats averaged 71 lost games to injury during those two years when the avg non-NE SB Champ over the past decade had 19.8.

    .........and there are those who would criticize this organization's method of stocking the team with depth over high priced frontline talent.

    I have no idea what 2006's stat is for the Pats, but I imagine it couldn't be too far off from that.
