Personally, I expect a couple of 6th, 7th or UDFA's to make the 53 man squad. At what position is this most likely to happen?

ANALYSIS
I expect us to draft these 5 before the 6th round: DT, RB, OT, WR, LB.
So, some of the picks would be double dips, and they would be competing against a higher ranking draftee.

Wait.....iš keenan Reynolds an RB or WR?

I expect quite a few late draftees to make the roster. Most will provide depth and others will be special teams demons.

Linebacker seems to be a position that needs tons of depth and eventual starters as I suspect Collins and Hightower will slip away in free agency.

But then again bb loves safeties and can never have enough of them. I think killebrew and davis would be huge contributors and fit the bb mode.

I suspect that Belichick is satisfied with the SIX safeties that we are bringing back (including 2 of our top 3 special teamers), so I don't see a 6th round safety making the 53. We certainly could draft a safety as protection against injury.

With the exception of occasion specialist needs like LS or P, I think of late picks as the only real BPA picks in the draft. Any position could be drafted, and IMO any position on offense or defense can easily make the team if the player shows promise.

Maybe we could turn the question around and ask at which positions would it be hardest for a longshot to make the team? Interior OL, maybe?

I believe that a QB, S or TE drafting in the 6th or 7th round would be very unlikely to make the the 53 man squad.

With regard to the interior of the OL, we just don't know anything about the team's evaluation of anyone. Sure, we have Stork, Mason, Jackson, Andrews, Cooper and Kline. I could easily see the first 3 making the team, one of the last three, plus a draftee. To put another way, I certainly could see someone beating out Andrews for the backup center position.
