If they took PSLs into account that would probably affect that price.

If not it is still possible that they have entirely different ticket price structures.

As for the Pats, the price of parking is going to make their total price much higher. Whenever somebody comes out with one of these lists there are a couple things to remember: there is a huge variance in average income depending on where you live as well; San Francisco and San Diego may actually be the best bargains relatively speaking if you were to figure that in. Also, do they include the price of suite and club tickets into the average ticket price? If so, it is going to skew it for stadiums that have a relatively large (or small) number of such tickets.

Big screen high definition TV and surround sound system FTW! Plus no lines for bathrooms, no commuting, my choice of cut of steak or whatever I want to grill that day, all I can drink, my Ipad (so I can follow the game threads which are so much fun ;) ) and comfy couch. Can't beat that.

Besides, I'd have to fly to Gillette to see a game which will add even more $$$.

While it does cost a lot, there is nothing like being there in person, to me anyway. You are stuck with the price of the tickets and parking, but can avoid the cost of everything else by bringing food/drink from home and tailgating. Skip the programs too - they are mostly a bunch of advertisements. Keep your tickets as the souvenier.

Plus, what kind of fan are you if you haven't bought your Pats hat/shirt/socks at Walmart or somewhere cheap BEFORE the game so that you are flying your colors as you enter the stadium?

That is why I do not go any more, prefer to watch at home with my own bathroom and my own food.

When my wife and I used to go, we would plan on about $375 for the day, and I don't drink...

Not to mention if you factor in the price to and liklihood of that family of four seeing a home win... The Patriots remain a great value option.

Although if you watch from home as a Patsfan on any size screen you can still experience the bonus of watching another likley as not JET losses on Redzone and post game meltdown, too on NFLN...

That's about what it costs a family of four to sing Sweet Caroline these days...;)

Acording to the article, the average cost of parking for all stadia is $26. Giillette is $40. So I don't think parking makes a lot of difference. Looking over the list of average prices, nothing seems to be much higher than average for the Pats except ticket prices, which average much higher than $77 you'd have to admit, since you can't even get a nosebleed ticket for that.

there is no such thing as a 'great value option' at gillette with one exception. when I dumped Merril Lynch in favor of BofA, I got 4 tix to their luxury box complete with the club parking, etc. all for free.......that is a great value option

I can get a couple of 5 gallon kegs from blue hill brewing, smoke a couple briskets and have a bunch of buds over for 10% of the cost of going to a game.......just in case you were wondering what other great value options are available out there.

This is the first season in 18 years I have not chipped in for my 1/3 of the season tickets I split with two other guys. It's just got to the point where I have decided "enough is enough". Lower bowl seats, parking, tailgate, gas, and 2.5 hours in the car. I will likely regret it, but the 55" plasma in the family room looks pretty good.

You don't have to pay for parking either. It was $12 bucks to take the train from South Station last time I went to a game.

Taking the train takes tailgating out off the itinerary and that ain't no fun.

Get there early, set up the BBQ, listen to the early games....I love going to the games.

Taking the train = difficult to tailgate.
