Ted Karras - 6-foot-3, 307 pounds - tore his ACL & MCL in 2014. Started at right guard all four years
Scar has been pretty money with the picks too...I'd trust him over any of these draft websites.Don't see why people are having a problem with adding OL depth late in the draft. It seems like the only good picks are binkies.
Should be interesting. I don't love this draft but I get what he was trying to do, which was to basically add depth and competition. They were already set at every position as far as starters go with no blue chip picks and limited flexibility. Other than RB they addressed every concern posters here expressed, other than signing Josh Gordon and Ussain Bolt. RB was the only exception and ask I cn come up with is that they hate this RB class and feel they will do just as well with the UDFAs as they would using a pick. And I don't think it was just about talent as there was clearly some there, I think the issue was ball security. I looked all winter at RB prospects and the one knock on pretty much every RB was really poor ball security. Belichick won't put up with that, Ridley put the ball on the ground four times one season and this place wanted him drawn and quartered, and Belichick benched him. Most of these guys were in double digits and they wouldn't last a month at that pace.
For the most part this team is set for a great season, I would still like a RB and still expect him to finish the roster off by finding another good back.
My disappointment was not getting insurance on defense to possible 2017 losses of Ninkovitch, Long, Branch, Knighton, Sheard, Hightower, and Collins. Maybe, there will be a flurry of extentions in theShould be interesting. I don't love this draft but I get what he was trying to do, which was to basically add depth and competition. According to ESPN, Ted Karras drank a full gallon of milk every morning as a child.
Redskins grabbed Marshall, but I get what you're saying.
The issue I have with ignoring the position is that they arguably have the worst RB group (bottom 5) in the entire league. Why not spend a late 6th-7th on a high upside RB? He was mainly passed on because he didn't play much over the last 2 years. But guys with those question marks are typically who you get this late in the draft. I know this is a heavy passing offense, but investing a tiny bit more in the running game would only make it more lethal.

next few months.
How do you know that Marshall was passed on mainly because he didn't play much over the last two years? This is the problem I have. You can't know why he was passed on because you don't know the reasons that teams passed on him. All you have is mediot speculation.
BTW, your claims regarding the Pats RB corps leave a lot to be desired. Blount and Lewis were doing very well last year before the injuries started piling up. And it's clear BB wants better insurance for O-line injuries.
I thought he was a linebacker. Anyways hes not just some sitcom charector. Not wanting to nit pick, but he played from 1958-1970, and was really one of the very best defensive tackles in the game during the '60's, he was dominant.
That's fine. And I just posted quotes from two scouting reports that said good things about his route running. All I can tell you is that Ive read that Mitchell needs work on adding routes twice.
Sometime back there was a route chart on here posted by an NFL player that was mind boggling.
I cannot believe they didn't address the RB position with such great value and upside there in the 4th-6th.
This is a lot different from when they didn't address the CB position last year.
Well, at least we don't have to hear about how Chris Harper is going to be the next Keenan Allen anymore....
The WR battle at camp should be fierce.
I am really surprised that the Patriots did not select: Dan Vitale (superback)
