Repair takes longer and there's also the vegetation that rapidly grows in that sandy soil since most of southern Florida is reclaimed swamp. Cripes, years ago, we're talking over 30 years ago, most of that what people now consider Naples was mangrove. The whole place is a series of moates...
Actually not that surprising (but still funny). A lot of the brackish water areas have Manatees in them so when the surge hit, they were probably pushed deeper inland. My family has brackish water between them and the ocean and it's a haven for Manatees who hang out around the docs.
I've got family right behind Barefoot Beach in a community (Bay Forest) on the ocean side of Vanderbilt. Haven't heard from them in 24 hours. I know Barefoot Beach was under water. One of the family members is immobile and 80 years old and couldn't evacuate so family stayed to take care of them.
Here's what I'm going to say about this and then I'm bailing from this. To the snowflakes getting bent about "having daughters as a requirement", no you don't have to have daughters but it does give you a different perspective. Just like if you aren't a parent, you may think you know what...
Yeah, but chances are, there's a good chance your daughters would be reporting a false rape because it's pretty common right? Or is that only other girls?
I hope it never happens but wow if you have daughters.
Exactly
Doesn't matter if they're schlubs or stars. It's up to society to determine if it's acceptable behavior. As long as people keep indulging in the "if I could...I would do it too", there are going to be situations like this and they trickle down into all levels of life. You've never...
My take on this having 2 daughters and large number of years on this Earth.
1) Me too movement was pretty eye opening to me. I've always avoided putting myself in a position in the office to have those situations but I've been shocked at some of the boldness of guys when the stories...
I can't tell you his experience but he attended several events when I was a kid and I remember him very fondly. He was very nice to us. I wish I kept things he signed back then.
There were defensive back players who said that they were told by their coach that if Hannah squares off on them, to just fall to the ground and live for another play. The funny thing from that video you should notice that once Hannah crushed his first person, he went on to crush another and...

John Hannah pulling from the guard position gave people nightmares... he was one of the very few pleasures of the Pats back then. He was respected by everyone who played against him. I've seen him pancake more people...
As someone said, if all you have is normal age related farsightedness, get yourself a few cheap readers. Save yourself a lot of money. I've got a complicated prescription so I have progressives to correct for just about every condition but even I have cheap readers to toss on if I'm not using...
Off not because he was innocent of solicitation and the act itself wasn't very smart. He got off because he had a good lawyer. Damage might be done but that doesn't mean it wasn't deserved either. A multi-billionaire with a public profile does not need to go to a strip mall massage parlor...
Look at the bright side, at least we won't violate the filming rules this year. Maybe the NFL should say "no video for Patriots for 10 years" so we can avoid this :D
Sure, everything I hear about Drew is that he's a good guy.
Personal opinion on his comments
I take more offense to people driving around with ripped and tattered flags or flying them in darkness. How many times have you seen some car or truck driving down the road with a torn or dirty flag...
I don't see why it wouldn't happen. It's really no big deal for Goodell. No cameras and Portnoy will have to behave or Goodell could end it at any time. I suspect they will be uncomfortable with each other but nothing will come of it. For 250,000, I don't see Goodell turning him away or it...
