the problem with ESPN is that they are trying way too much to be like all those celebrity access shows you see after the six o'clock news. Filled with controversy and overhyped stories about nothing.

Lets see here -

Theres no tape of the walk through

Theres no evidence of Walsh being told to film it

Yet the mediots are calling for suspensions, etc for a "he said, she said"

This is really a new low even for the ****ty media like ESPN/Herald

This loser has been shopping the story for most of the season.....(if he had evidence) he would have pulled a tape out of his ass long ago and this thing would have exploded back in Sept.

Walsh was fired for reasons that may or may not fully come out -

Those reasons should come out. I want to know why he was fired. He's out there talking about how he has proof that the Pats taped a practice. Well I want to know why the Pats fired him and the exact date that his sorry arse was fired. I've heard two different dates, and I want to know which one is correct.

felger talked about a year...but he is as bad as Tomase and will believe ANYTHING...so he should be shunned just like Tomase...or worse..maybe people should call his show or e-mail and tell him what he is...OF COURSE he will say that and believe it...he's the new Borges...OR maybe picket his show or....something to bring HIZM down..

The problem with Channel 4's panel is except for Reiss (who can be overwhelmed and it's sad to see him on 4 now instead of 5 career wise) and Felger (who is a mediot whore at this juncture - has his own TV and radio gigs YET they bring him back on 4 tonight...) is they aren't trained journalists or writers who know the drill. Failed to challenge Felger when he contended if a tape exists it has to reflect on BB. Apparently he couldn't fathom this guy doing this himself (if he in fact did). And nobody wondered aloud how he would have an actual tape in his posession IF it belonged to BB... Nobody questioned Tomase's integrity in running with the story because...he's Felger's boy. Felger is giddy because the story is the thing as far as he's concerned - something to drive his radio ratings next week. They had the statement, although it was clear they had only received it just prior to going on air, but they allowed Felger to dismiss it, which is what always happens unless a strong personality it on opposite him. Reiss just doesn't have those stones.

Bob Halloran on All Access said that there is no way Tomase should have run this story without confirmation of the existence of a tape from multiple sources. Really shoddy journalism absent that.

Later they brought Zolak on Channel 4 to talk about what a run through entails. Which is next to nothing. Zolak said the fallout may end careers, but for a couple of sportswriters in this town who will be dead men walking in Foxboro going forward.

Judging by Bill's smile at the photo shoot today, I doubt he's very worried about the outcome of the Matt Walsh chapter of Spygate - tempest in a teapot.

What people should do is not call any show Felger is involved in and let his employers know why.

This is the best time for him to pull the tape out of his azz. It would get the most pub. To bad for him the commishe's office said they had heard of the tape last fall and gave it no creadance.

Even if there is a tape, if Walsh has it and the Pats don't, wouldn't that indicate that he filmed the walkthrough without orders from the team? Surely, if the Patriots asked their videographer to shoot a practice for them to study, they'd have the tape now, and not Walsh.

Honestly - what a punk this Walsh guy is, I hope he gets buried and every little dirty detail about his life comes out - that's the price you should pay when you snitch. Again, if he really thinks he is at all responsible for the 01 victory and not the players, he's got issues. What a d-bag.

Could be, or maybe Walsh made a copy of the tape for himself and the Pats don't know that.

Anyway we're basically living in the land of assumptions until the next Walsh interview, which I predict will be conducted by Tomase and released during the post game celebration of the SB win

If the Patriots ever had a copy, they'd have destroyed it by now. Walsh's copy would still be the only one in existence.
