Insane that they made 8 picks and only one was on defense. That’s an indictment on the state of the roster

If Maye becomes somebody : none of the other picks really matter. So - the future will be intriguing.

They didn't address safety and Dial doesn't have the mobility needed to play outside in the NFL imho. So I don't see how he fits except as a special teamer only

They’ve remade the offensive skill positions fairly substantially, which was badly needed. They’re clearly much more confident on the tackles than am I and I would’ve remade it differently, but I like that they’ve chosen a direction and went confidently towards it.

There’s enough young bodies at CB that I feel the (unproven) depth is good enough to wait until next year.

This udfa should be fun. There’s some decently skilled edge players that, if they survive the next few picks, would be intriguing options, too.

Meh.. Honestly.. Milton said he has no interest trying to play a different position.

If Bell contributes, so be it.. I'm not expecting anything from him.. PS maybe.

It's more an indictment on Wolf.

For all the love we gave him previously, the picks haven't turned out all that great..

As I said before, I have no faith in Wolf. I don't care for the draft. I think that ignoring the defensive backfield the way he did is going to bite the patriots in the arse. Especially drafting a kid like Dial who has s**t for agility. 4.42 short shuttle and a 7.29 3-cone..

If you can't change directions as a CB, what good are you?

Bell will compete with Wilcox and Pellway for the position of 3rd TE.

I would expect Milton to be on the Practice Squad if anywhere. I suppose that we could carry a 4th QB as entertainment for the fans. He could run the Scout Team and be inactive in every game.

Folks keep on bringing up Edelman. Well, when Milton or someone else like him can be one of the best punt returners in the NFL, maybe we'll take a few years to develop his talents at a second position.

OK, the last 3 picks were a waste of time as these picks usually are. We'll bring in a dozen UDFA's tomorrow. 1-2 of the 6th, 7ths rounders and UDFA's will make the team, which is fine. They could have drafted a kicker or other STer, but they can do that as well when they sign UDFA's.

They could hire a coach to coach up Milton. That way he won't take time away from others. Perhaps we can get a pick back in trade.

I don’t think, and have not thought, that Rourke makes the opening day roster. His 915,000 contract, to my knowledge, has no guaranteed money. I always saw him as a training camp arm that gave them draft flexibility. He was always likely to get cut at final roster cutdowns and then join the practice squad.

I can't remember a time when the Pats only had 4 RB IN TOTAL on the roster.

Sure, I suppose we could have Gibson and Bourne inactive so these two can come in for a play or two. I certainly hope that the OC isn't up to this.

Pats actually had 6 going into training camp last year.

Stevenson, Elliot, K. Harris, JJ Taylor, Ty Montgomery, Pierre Strong.

OK, when Brissette goes down with a minor injury, who is the #2 QB.

I do NOT, do NOT, do NOT want Maye as our #2 QB until he is ready to play, perhaps in the last half of the season.

Perhaps you think that we should keep Milton and have him as our #2. I'd much rather have Rourke or even Zappe.
