Hoping for the upset, what a draw.

England-Wales will be an interesting game. A derby almost. Wales might win.

A truly fantastic performance for 80 minutes......then they decided to drop deeper and deeper and invite aerial pressure against a side that was quite a bit taller than them. That was the first part of the naivety.

The second was not bringing on one of the other forwards at 1-0, or bringing on someone like Henderson at the end and pushing Dier back to pick up any of the runners.

Akinfeev made some cracking saves, but as ever, it's coulda woulda shoulda for England. The Wales game is enormous now.

Seen that English movie one too many times, yet before every tournament I'm optimistic and pick them.

Then you realise that it will be forever Jar Jar Binks and Hayden f*cking Christensen, and not enough Liam Neeson.

I like Liverpool too but Lallana and Henderson are terrible... Drinkwater should be on this team. They dont need all this pace against weaker sides they could bring players with better ball skills..

Costa Rica pulls the upset, United States wins Group A, and probably avoids Brazil in the Quarterfinals.

USA beat Paraguay to make it to quarter finals. I think Bradley passed the ball backwards more than foward. Can't understand why this guy is still on the National team.

Should have put Vardy on to have some lethal counters. Roy Hodgson doing Roy Hodgson things however (aka, bottling it).

Rashford shouldn't be anywhere near the team let alone the starting lineup. he will fade away next season just like others.. Macheda clone. Mourinho won't waste his 3 years with Rashford up front either.

Barkley is another that is lucky to be in the squad.. he will be off by 60mins because he is a fat bloater who won't hack summer tournaments.

There was zero wrong with the starting line-up yesterday, our best football since beating Germany. We lost the lead because we brought on Wilshere and lost the brain and stability of what Rooney brought. Wilshere doesn't process the brain to retain, he is always looking to create, I lost count the amount of times he lost the ball after he came on. Also the fault is that Hodgson allowed them to fall deep, he should of been on the side-line screaming and have them a lot higher. Being a Tottenham fan he should have brought off Kane on 75mintues, he looked knackered, Vardy should have come on. Disastrous subs yesterday.

From the few English NT games ive watched, Kane looks like a different player in the NT then then he does at Tottenham.

I hope Hodgson is getting crucified in the English press for having his striker take corners. That was stupidity at its finest.

He is, specifically by Alan Shearer, but most of the media have been saying it too. My thinking is that he is the only one who can hit the ball straight hard perfect for headers where glances are just needed and none of this curl out or in where the power is gained from he person heading. They must have had a camp competition and the team would rather excellent service and sacrifice one player to help 5 or 6 in the box.

Regarding Kane looking different, Its my opinion that since April he has looked burned out, luckily Tottenham have the summer to bring in two class strikers to help him as he has been the only one the past 12 months. You got to remember also that the rapport with Tottenham players is different to England players.

It also doesn't help when England manager doesn't play a settled starting line-up in the 3 friendlies prior to the first tournament game.
