Your boy is from CT... die hard PATS all the way, love my state too buddy! Don't be so quick to judge CT cuz you think it's NY

Ok ok calm down, I mentioned upthread I was being mostly hyperbolic due to my college education. Keep repping though!

Why stop there! Deport everyone in the USA who tuned into the NYJFL* draft to North Korea! They'll feel right at home!o_O
Good idea, but I didn't want to go all Donald Trump on them...but OK!

Yeah I'm sure the thousands of college students from out of state areas, in a very small demographic compared to the much larger city of Boston, cared very deeply about a self-imposed Draft ban....

That's right, just because you do something, the entire area has to follow suit. Good call....
I'd bet my next paycheck that the "college students from out of state" in Providence do not constitute a 3.7 rating in that market...but this is a silly debate...time for both of us to move on...we've each made our points...

Go Pats!

I live in the Providence area.

There's definitely a strong NYG presence.

I've had to listen to fireworks in my neighborhood on 2 separate occasions, on nights that never happened.

Providence TV Market isn't just the city or the state. It consists of RI and Bristol County, Ma as well.

That would include:

N. Attlebotough
Attleboro
Mansfield
Norton
Easton
Raynham
Taunton
Rehoboth
Seekonk
Swansea
Dighton
Somerset
Berkeley
Freetown
Fall River
New Bedford
Westport
Dartmouth
Acushnet
Fairhaven

Yes! Just as there are many NY Yankee fans in Rhody there are also many NY Giant fans.
The historical basis of the RI Yankee fan comes from a cultural angle due to the large Italian American population that was drawn to the Yankees due to their impressive stable of great Italian American ballplayers, Joe D, Yogi, Rizzuto etc.
NY Giant fans are a generational fandom. Fathers and Grandfathers were NY Giant fans because that was the "local" franchise of their youth and that interest has been passed on to their kids.
STRONG Patriot love down here but there are big pockets of Giant fans.

Thrilled the Boston market gave the NFL a mega middle finger. Nice to see overall rating dropping also.
You absolutely nailed the RI/Yankee/Giants deal. Well-done and right on the money.

Great job Pats fans. I hope new england fans boycott our home opener against Miami if Brady is still suspended. :D
I agree. Everyone keeps talking about how hard that would be. Whats so hard? Just don't go!!! Done!. The sacrifice would be well worth it. Show them, we are in charge. Miss one game and the NFL would be in panic mode. It would pay them back 2 fold. That would put us on the map

Generally speaking, generalizations don't work.
