Week 9 NFL (and college) Television Coverage ... and odds

Lost in the hype of Manning-Brady XVI is that there will be a few other good NFL games this week. The Saints travel to Carolina in an important NFC South game on Thursday night. No more CBS for Thursday games – from here on it will be the same CBS broadcasting and production crew, but will televise strictly on the NFL Network – so some of you with low tier basic cable and no cable box may have to find another outlet to watch the game.

The Pats-Broncos game gets near-national coverage in the late afternoon game; my condolences to those viewers in Arizona, northern California, Oregon and Washington for lack of easy access to this game. Sunday night it’s Baltimore at Pittsburgh, which is always a close game, and then it’s the Colts at the Giants on Monday night. There are also a few decent early afternoon games as a prelude to the Pats-Denver battle: San Diego at Miami, Philadelphia at Houston and 6-1 Arizona at 6-2 Dallas appear to be the best of the seven early games.
