I like swain and PFF's Sam Monson really likes Anthony. He's undersized though.
The Cowboys better hope Elliott is a superstar because they could've had Collins/Williams pound behind that OL in the 4th/5th rounds. Wouldn't have passed on Ramsey.
Manx, please don't cite Sam Monson. He's a moron. He's the guy who claimed Brady was no longer elite and on his way out two years ago. There are very few people with less credibility in this forum.
the two 6ths and a 7th might get us into the end of the 5th.So their "trade ammunition" is a mid-6th, low-6th, and two low-7th's. Not a whole lot to be able to trade into the 5th with, really. Would the two 6th's packaged together be enough to move up into the middle 5th?
It would be great if a 5th only cost a 6th and a 7th.
I know how you feel about PFF, you really don't need to keep telling me. I find him useful when scouting the draft and often agree with him.
I say it because I've seen it said many times from writers and others. I have no doubt that BB valued Cardona as a 5th round pick regardless of his commitments, but that doesn't mean it didn't help.I don't really understand why people always say that is why we took Cardona in the 5th. There are about 300 players in the world that are picked to play in the NFL. I don't think being the 175th player says anything different to the military than the 300th.
Unless we were at war I cannot foresee the military denying any 20 something year old kid the opportunity to change their life in the way the NFL would allow.
They took Cardona because he can be their LS for the next decade and in a game where STs matter that is enough. People forget Slater was a 5th round pick, Ebner was a 6th round pick and Gostkowski was a 4th. Belichick has no problem using a middle round pick on a core STs player.

After that QB pick last nite can't watch anymore, looked like I seen a ghost after that pick
if you go by the value chart, trading the two 6s only gets you up to the higher end of the 6th.

When does it start?
I wouldn't mind making it 3 if we get a chance at one talented player.
At this point we need quality, not quantity.
Who do you think was the most pretty?
My question is this. Are you more likely to guarantee quality by taking one pick at the end of the 5th/top of the 6th or by giving yourself three chances at similarly graded players in the 6th? I think you'd have to be very confident in your grade to reduce your chances of success from three shots to one shot.
Yep, very true. There are a lot of good players in the later rounds. While a higher pick has a higher likelihood of getting you quality, you also give yourself more shots at quality with multiple later picks. My question is this.
