New York Daily writer uncovers Peyton's true persona

I get what you're saying here. From my viewpoint I am sort of seeing a situation where Peyton did the crime and then fabricated a ton of lies to many people, including Archie, in the process. Archie obviously looks bad too but in some excerpts here he doesn't even seem like he has a grasp on the real situation, he only knows what Peyton has told him, and has accepted it all as true - but none of it is. This sort of behavior leads me to believe it is much more option B than option A.
Archie strikes me as the kind of guy who is intimately involved in his son's lives.

If he had a son that was earmarked as a future star Qb, he was going to protect him.

It would not surprise me one bit if Archie strong-armed the University to sweep this under the rug and ensure that Peyton was coached on how to handle this from a PR standpoint and ensure that he was lawyered up as well as he could.

Peyton was 19-21 years old.....just a baby and very much in need of dads help.

In nydaily piece , archie comes of equally worse. But whatever is written about him is his book for years and yet no one questioned it.

It was sexual assault. Period.

But where it gets tough for me is in weighing Peyton's intent. Which is really important to me in terms of how I judge Peyton's action. It doesn't mitigate the fact that he assaulted her, but it does help me decide what degree of scumbag he is.

It comes down to wondering what was his intent.

"Lolo this will be hilarious"
vs.
"I'm gonna teach this ***** a lesson with my ****"

From reading it seems like he had issues with her before he rubbed his ass hole on her face, which makes it very tough to see his intent being the former.

Now, everything that it appears he did after the fact? At best he was a kid who did something stupid and criminal and then his dad stepped in to do whatever he could to prevent his son from ruining his shot at getting drafted high and didn't give a **** about the impact to the woman in question. I actually wouldn't be surprised if, other than the actual sexual assault, most of the awful **** that went down afterwards was Archie's doing.

But Peyton doesn't get to get a pass for sexually assaulting a woman and then being either a passive or active participant in ruining her career, violating a confidentiality agreement and getting treated different than someone who can't throw a football who sexually assaulted a woman.

Had he manned up, apologized and tried to make amends I would feel differently, but this is probably one of the first times I've agreed with this board about Manning. I'm actually something of a fan of his on the field because I'll miss him as a really worthy adversary for our team.

But he's scum if what the plaintiff in this case says is true.

And I'm tired of people dismissing it as simply a prank. If some punk ****ing kid with a former NFL start daddy rubbed his ass hole on my wife's face I'd be seeing red.

For the life of me I can't comprehend why Archie and Peyton spout off in the book, violate the confidentiality agreement and defame Jamie.

Agreed. Taking my own personal feelings about what he did out of the equation, the smart move would have been to not address it at all. Why poke the hornet's nest? Why open yourself up to her trying to sue you?

Whatever, in a way I'm glad they did it if her lawsuit leads to the lid being blown off.

I wonder if the other docs referred in this court document e.g "Archie manning depo" are public ?

They sent her mail addressed as "Dr Vulgar mouth whited" ...amazing.

Exactly. Only logical explanation is that King implies is that they wanted to state their story on the U of TN incident and destroy any credibility she might have if she chose to speak out. With that said they do it in a way that taunts her by calling her Dr. Vulgar Mouth....so childish. So miscalculated. Dumb jocks.

Other thing is that they might have wanted to bait her into shutting her up with cash.

Dont know?

IMO Peyton and Archie were playing grab-ass with each other in the family den one day and then suddenly one of them thought "uh oh, what if that vulgar mouthed b**** breaks the confidentiality agreement and tells everyone about our dirty secrets?! Hey, why don't we break the agreement first in a book and tell our big fat false version of the story for the world to read! Then if she tries to tell anyone what really happened, no one will believe her! Ha ha ha!!" Then they finished servicing Papa John and got to work on their planning right away.

One thing's for sure, Peyton must have done something. When there's smoke there is always fire no matter what evidence might say.

Absolutely hence the letter from Saxon asking Peyton to take responsibility for his actions.

Hopefully, as King insinuated, more documents will be released.

Another new York writer all over the story...how lucky we are to have the mcm and the chb all over the story!

Manning's description doesn't seem to jibe with the ACTUAL Ms. Naughright...

If she was MY sister, Manning wouldn't be using his mouth to talk today...nor his phucking knee caps

If she was your sister you would here a lot of....

"Hey Joker..We're friends right? Can you hook me up with your sister?" JK.

The last refuge of a desperate man sinking like a rock: make it political. Pathetic...you should be embarrassed, but you won't be.

He's just a punk on a computer. He would never say any **** like that to someone's face but unfortunately one of the downfalls of social media is that we have to put up with an anonymous punk ass who finally feels big and bad after all those years of having his ass kicked in high school whenever he said something stupid.

Hell, I probably kicked his ass in the lunch room and took his chicken nuggets a few years ago.

Should've been listed on a sex offender registry instead of choking in the playoffs all those years.

Seriously, I've seen stories of 19 years olds (same age as he was) who've done more tame sex crimes and are forced to register + can't go anywhere near malls, parks, etc.

This was sexual assault + defamation. No debate about it.
