Whats the word on Jamie Collins?

where's the "Whats the Word on Jamie Collins"? thread?

from what I've read...he should be good to go vs. Den?

I was starting to think Collins had a high ankle sprain along with the back injury. I do NOT need that right now lol

Kind of unrelated to This but in general does loyko actually have legit sources? I thought he was kind of a guy who did the draft stuff as a hobby. Also his arrogance is insufferable on Twitter most of the time.

He has a source inside Collins' Family

There is not gray area for a high ankle sprain, you either have one or you don't.

Sure there is. There's plenty of gray area that can involve a MILD high ankle sprain, in terms of severity and recovery time. That holds true for any injury.

We just saw a guy play 6 days later on one, so there's certainly reason to believe that there are cases where players like Brady/Maclin are able to play in lesser amounts of time.

As mentioned, I don't know or care if it was technically a mild HAS or not, but speaking about Dr.Chao like he's Albert Breer isn't right in my opinion. Chao took the stance that Brady would be fine and tried to act as a calming presence the whole time. His intent wasn't to create panic and attention, as you've claimed. In that regard, I respectfully disagree with you, but we've beat this into the ground so let's just move on.

Maybe Brady is just a beast and his foot would have to be dangling off to take time off at this point of his career/season. .

This is my very amateur opinion on Collins, oblique strains are very much like a minor groin sprain/strain. Can you play on it? Yes, but that really depends on your pain treshold. It may not hurt one second , and a slight movement that's out of the ordinary will send a painful twinge throughout your body. It's not a serious injury but one that only 'goes away' with complete rest and rehab routine (massages, ice, heat). All that said Collins is an animal and I don't think he will miss time. He may need a few more breathers than usual to deal with the pain.
BB said today that he will know on Wed when he tries to do perform football moves in practice. I expect we will see only "Back - Limited" (or maybe even "DNP") on the injury report until Sunday. Then I expect he will dress and do what he can. If so, we will all find out together during the game when we see how long he can stay out there and how well he plays. (Hightower has been limping off the field for a couple of weeks). First clue may be whether or not Bostic is active. Last week Johnson dressed but did not play. Perhaps he was waiting to see how Coleman could do post concussion and without a cast. Fortunately Coleman aced that test. Let's hope for the same from Collins this week.

Absolutely agreed. Like last year, Hightower is gutting it out. A true warrior.

I enjoy Chao's tweets. People should lay off when he's wrong, since he is just giving his best guess. What I like is how he understands how injuries relate to specific skill sets. He understands the finer points of football and injuries.

Funny how he's gutting it out from a cut block in the Denver game earlier this season. I really hope he brings the violence Sunday. I'm so sick of hearing about them.

I have found him to be a highly accurate diagnostician, but in addition, as a team physician he has seen how certain injuries can impact players at different positions. Of course, anyone is free to disregard his input should they so choose.
