I think he's being smart, urging the already biased refs to make even more horrible calls against Gronkowski.

That's what you do when you being held.

He's calling attention to it now. It either A) gets the refs looking for it or B) is a built in excuse if they lose.

Bingo! My thoughts exactly. I think its clear to even the casual football observer that Gronk is held to a far different set of standards regarding PI (both offensive and defensive) then the rest of the NFL. And with the game being held in Denver, I expect the same for this game. Get ready for a full week of the Bronco's coaches, players and especially GM to be in the ear of the officials telling everyone how the game should be called.

marshall couldn't cover gronk at all last game, what a mismatch

It's Monday and they're already working the refs. Typical, they know that that's the only way they win this game.

Watch for Gronk to play this weekend with both arms tied behind his back and still finish with 8 receptions for 136 yards and two touchdowns.

can't see how it hurts den...maybe makes gronk play less aggressive not wanting to get called again, and brings to refs attention some more.

41-13 beatdowns also tend to end with the yappin losing defensive players getting thrown outta da club!

Except that they don't call the holding, but they DO call the OPI.

Patriots' Gronkowski not changing style to avoid flags

It's apparently ok for defenders to clutch and grab Gronk as he runs his route, but an OPI if Gronk happens to touch those clutching hands and arms while he tries to make a cut.
