OT: Aaron Rodgers is amazing

No Cobb, no Nelson, of course he's not going to light it up. It's the same way with Brady--with all of his weapons he was the uncontested MVP. When he was down his top four receivers, suddenly his stats "mysteriously" dropped off. If Nelson and Cobb were in there, I'm sure he would have put up 30+.

The accuracy and zip on Rodgers deep balls is amazing. No one is close. There's a reason he's been hurting without Jordy. When he has a credible deep threat the defense absolutely needs to respect it and it clears out the underneath routes.

Despite his numbers i think he did well with the street WRs he had out there.

Where was Jordy Nelson?

Where was Randy Cobb?

Look't the Box Score.

Who the #$%& is Jeff Janis???

Possibly only Brother Manxman and I'ave ever heard'f the guy.

And we're Draft Freaks.

The Packers had no Business competing with the Cardinals, yesterday.

No
Business.

And yet they did.

Clowns are Clowns, and I can understand the Anger: Rodgers usually wracks up great Statistics, and because many Fantasy FootBall Fans don't look beyond those, and simply don't understand what wins Championships, they foolishly and obnoxiously put Rodgers not only on Brady's level but above it.

But there's no reason to hold that against Rodgers.

Is he Brady's Equal??

No.

But he is a tremendous QuarterBack.

No reason no to give'm that.

OP for the Win.

Rodgers is a great QB but last night he didn't show me anything to warrant a "Wow this guy is tremendous".

2 hail marys on the same drive and a called back 90 yard pick-6? "Wow this guy is lucky" is more like it.

Winning and having the stats impress me. That's why, aside from Brady of course, I'm most impressed by Russell Wilson. He's done it with a bunch of mediocre WRs for his first few years, and this year with a terrible o-line.

Rodgers is a beast. He's the 2nd best QB in the league.

Rodgers is a great QB not having his best year. I heard reference to his unwillingness to throw in tight spaces (unlike Brady, who makes those throws look routine), and it does seem without Jordy Nelson he has not played within his comfort zone passing.

I agree with Deus that Hail Mary throws are not the hallmark of great QBs. With that said, the Detroit throw was awesome given the fact it almost hit the rafters and arced into the correct area 70 yards away.

I did get a little tired of listening to the effect of Jordy Nelson (who was gone in preseason). As dysfunctional as the offense was all season versus an outstanding prior year, there should have been the pieces (1) to gameplan and/or (2) for somebody else to step up and take the strain. Welcome to every year in the life of Brady and the Pats.

He's one of many good QBs in this post-Bradyish crop. So if you think about the guys who were supposed to take over the league since around 2001... there's a big crop of "also rans" for history to "sort of remember".

Brees and P Manning, and now Rodgers, for sheer stats (when they have good receivers)
Rapistberger
Cam's having a good year
E Manning, because if he happens to somehow be in a SB, it will be against the greatest QB of all time, and thus far he's killed the giant twice... then went back to sucking.

They'll be Brady's footnotes, not competitors or successors.

************, Grid, the Packers D held Arizona to 20 points. That and blown coverages were the only reason that GB was in the game. GB was in the game despite Rodgers' pedestrian game. He shouldn't get credit for putting up a whole 13 non-Hail Mary points.

I've always said Rodgers was arguably the best qb in the league right now. I love watching him play and I'm not one of those people that feels threatened when people talk about his greatness. Ive never been one to hate on greatness tho..

**** Aaron Rodgers....he doesn't wear a Patriots uniform so he can go **** himself

Why aren't the games won in the first 59:55?

He threw up a couple of Hail Mary's. That's about the least impressive thing any QB can do, and his recent play is getting ridiculously overhyped because of them.

And that's coming from someone who thinks Rodgers is tremendous.
Especially that last one. He just chucked it off his back foot and prayed.

Well, to be fair, Carson Palmer did more to hold the Cards to 20 points than the GB defense. Although the GB defense played pretty well.

Great QBs don't protect their stats over the needs of the team. Rodgers does.

Give me TB12 over AR12 any day!

Not an anti-Rogers guy here but he scores 13 points plus a freak Hail Mary that is Luck> Skill.
This is not a game to put AR among the greats.
Playoff football separates the men from the boys.
