OT - ESPN "Peyton Manning Sparks Comeback" (5/9 for 69 Yards)

Yes, Manning was the spark that suddenly made Anderson not fumble, the Chargers not play run defense, and the refs not call holding.

That part might actually be true.

He did spark a comeback. Congrats to him. Now, let's all enjoy the playoffs.

If the Broncos win the Superbowl with Peyton on the bench the media will still regard him as two time Superbowl champion quarterback.
And they'll give him the MVP

Not posting a link (they don't deserve the clicks) but this made me lol this morning.

It is going to be a really fun next two weeks with the media over-hyping Denver.

I guess the almighty 32* wanted to give us a Manning sneak peek. Didn't even bother to watch, but I've already informed many, how this season will end. No surprise here, whether Cheaton sucks or not, he's going home with a 2nd ring this season. If Brady is still in FU mode and plans to torch 32*'s plans in Denver, I may consider watching this crap next season. Seeing how he made sure Cheaten got hfa, I'm seriously doubting it.

The glorious return of Peyton Manning [Pick Be Upon Him] will be the breathless storyline of the NYJFL now. His post-season is now red-carpeted. No zebra will want to throw a flag that might hinder the inexorable, ineluctible advance of this mighty hero to his final, greatest Super Bowl ...

... choke.

At least you're not blind to 32*'s set up season.

The refs will only get involved when teams try to improvise, otherwise, it should be fun watching us job to Denver, in 3 weeks.

I said to my wife last night that if the Broncos get to the Super Bowl, I don't think I can watch the game, or at least mute it. Nantz and Simms were practically slobbering over him yesterday...

After Simms' stupid rant about how you should have your feet planted on the ground when you take a hit at the knees than jumping to avoid the hit yesterday, I am watching to the Super Bowl on mute even if the Pats are in it.

Everything will be about manning and the donkeys. Top overral seed. For the most part they have had everybody healthy. They have had 9 lives all season. Could be a team of destiny even in a flawed afc.

A few things:
  • Did Manning really provide a spark or did the fact that half of the Chargers' defense going down by the time he got in really allow the Broncos' offense to score points?
  • What is Manning going to do when the first team they face are prepared to face him and flood the center of the field and force him to throw deep, outside the numbers?
  • I wasn't impressed that much more with the Broncos' win than the Pats' loss yesterday. The Chargers were already depleted going into that game with most of the o-line gone, Stevei Johnson out, and several key players out. As the game went along, the Chargers lost most of the rest of their offense and secondary.

Think you are dead on here.

Already yesterday Manning didn't even attempt any throw inside. All he did were constant overthrows deep where he tried to avoid those ducks by putting more zip on the ball which totally screwed with his accuracy and passes to the outside on comeback routes for Sanders.

He gave them a spark in the sense that no matter his physical ability he still is great pre-snap. However ultimately the question is if what he brings to the table is better than the mobility and better scheme-fit that Osweiler has. We are talking about a Kubiak offense and not being able to properly play eg. bootlegs because of Manning will stifle them.

I also find it hard to beleive that after having looked horrid for a season and a half that somehow he would be peyton of old. Nothing he did yesterday impressed me.

now that teams know who to gameplan for, they will do what they have the last season and a half. flood the middle of the field and force manning to throw ducks to the sideline. I expect another embarrasing one and done. the guy still has 9tds and 17picks on the season.

that was not all injury. he looked horrible right out the gates from game 1 vs the ravens

they are all so happy on espn. jawz/chris mckendry should be ashamed of themselves.
they beat the pathetic chargers for gods sake

They're such idiots for getting away from Rotweiler. Especially if he doesn't re-sign.

Seeing that it'll be AZ, CAR or SEA coming out of the NFC, watching either team dismember DEN will be a thing of beauty.

Does anyone here believe Denver will host the AFCCG? I sure as hell don't.

If the Broncos win the Superbowl with Peyton on the bench the media will still regard him as two time Superbowl champion quarterback.

...and the Indianapolis Colts will hang a we-signed-first-for-the-HGH Super Bowl 50 banner.

It was so over the top.. I heard a few seconds of Bertrand and Zo talking about the ball washing.. the chargers had a 3rd and 6, and Simms was like "the chargers are lining up to convert this 3rd down because they're afraid of putting Manning back out on the field" or something along those lines

The nfl f***ing loves Manning for some reason and can't stand Brady.. even boomer this morning on 98.5, saying how he doesn't like how a source like al Jazeera (which he said isn't credible) can just put out a story and people jump all over it.. then admits that's exactly what people did to Brady but he refuses to do it to Manning until other sources confirm lol
