What's the recovery time for a bone bruise/sprain?

This is just my guess but I bet Gronk could play next Sunday if he wanted but they are going to hold him out until they feel he is 100%

very unusual for pats to release a statement on the injury. shows that its gronk's camp which will determine his return.

We need these other guys to step up. Lafell needs to contribute more. Chandler has to step up.

No it doesn't.

There was a cluster last injury - Pats stated he'd be back a certain time then Gord said no he won't & there was an appearance of disconnect...

Totally disagree on the last part of your sentence. This was released to avoid/counter the idiotic speculation we had last time about conflicting interests between his family and the Patriots.

Or it was released because information was being leaked from his camp and it's an effort to /try/ and get on the same page.
Because all the info that was available on Gronk was very unusual for a Pats player.

Of course it is possible. However, since we have been through this process already a few times I would be shocked if there was not clear communication between the Gronks and the front office about how to handle the PR side of things in a common effort.

The pats are going to have to grind it out with Gronk, i have no issue with him missing multiple games as long as his ready to go in the playoffs.

anybody else shocked his family released a statement? Frankly I find this more concerning than the injury itself. Are the Gronkowski's and the Patriots in conflict here?

I am not sure why there had to be a joint (Pats/Gronk Family) statement when he is only dealing with a bone bruise. Seems a little over the top. Either way, I am ecstatic that we will see Gronk on the field again this year.

brady's taken some huge hits this year. and yea bodies are always falling next to his knees.
