Sweet! He seems like the workout-warrior type, I think he will be able to get to where he needs to be within a few weeks. Don't know if he will be 100% of what he was until the offseason, but even 85% of Jamie Collins is still a beast.

Just send him on a weeks 'vacation' to sunny Acapulco and he'll come back with 20 pounds of new muscle.

Great news. The team needs him back for the Denver game. They will need to beat Buffalo without him.

Hopefully his weight/strength loss has been minimal. Maybe he can get a workout program with Gymrat/PatFanCraig? He added 15 pounds of muscle with minimal fat gain in just 2 weeks.
I'm hearing Gymrat actually has a negative body fat percentage now and has also seen gains in his deadlift - maxing out at a stout 850 pounds. Collins would be wise to take note.

Get this man cheeseburgers, stat!

I'm kind of relieved to hear this. One thing that has been nagging in the back of my mind that I didn't hear anyone bring up was some kind of severe depression, bi-polar, etc. which are illnesses that are much more serious than most of what's been discussed and could have easily kept him out for this length and longer.

It especially helped me in my considering whether to get a knee replacement! I think I'll stick with the pain for now thanks.

I avoid hospitals whenever possible.

Glad to hear about Collins. Should definitely be back for Denver, and maybe Buffalo. This...I can live with.

I was fearing mono...or some mono-like virus (had one many years ago in college and it kicked my ass for several months.

Very happy with this report!!!!!!!!!!!!

More good injury news - maybe a new thread is up by now.
The O-line just walked through that door.
Cannon, Solder, Jackson practiced. Making sense of the Barker release.

If you don't mind, I will hold you personally accountable to not let the legend of the Gymrat die. You can hold me to the same standard.

I'm disappointed that I had actually forgotten about him until your post. But I shall defend the Gymrat shield.

Give him a couple of those Patti Labelle sweet potato pies & he'll be flying all over the field again in no time!

I was traveling and missed the game. I have been watching it a bit and noticed that 55 (Freeny I think) was terrible. Could not tackle anyone. Collins is sorely needed.

Professional athletes are always getting sick apparently, we just never hear about it. The constant wear and tear on their bodies breaks down their immune system so they are highly vulnerable to viruses. Hope that this isn't something more serious.

Really? Is this first hand?

Hope these guys get flu shots...

One would have to assume that they'd get mandatory flu shots, but that's obviously just speculating.
