Still no Collins? [Update: Over the Bug, But Needs to Regain Strength]

Hospitals aren't going to admit an otherwise young and healthy person with the flu unless he's having major organ failure. They won't even admit people from nursing homes who have the flu unless it is life threatening. They don't want it anywhere near them.
Plus, the hospital is a great place to go to get sicker. My next door neighbor went into the hospital for a knee replacement, got pneumonia, and now she's dead.

honestly some of you acted like collins was getting his leg amputated. he'll be fine.

Somebody take him to Red Robin and get one of those burger and shake meals that has like 3000 calories.

Big Mac and a Filet with a large vanilla shake should help him immediately regain 3 weeks of lost weight.

Bill will give him Chung's position until he gains his weight back. It's all good.

That's... good-ish news. Worrisome, though, because if he dropped, say, 15 pounds (which is possible if the virus was bad enough) it's no guarantee that he'll get back to 100% strength and endurance this season.

It's the best news we could reasonably hope for, though, so it's probably best to look at it from that perspective.

so he's just about guaranteed to miss monday night's game. My guess is, and we've learned as Pats fans NEVER to be optimistic about injuries or in this case "illness", he's out Monday and limited all week leading up to denver.....must be some virus he had:rolleyes:

Don't worry. One thing I'm not worried about with you is too much optimism.

Well that story escalated quickly... :(
It especially helped me in my considering whether to get a knee replacement! I think I'll stick with the pain for now thanks.

Even having him back part him would be a help.
