****. Poor guy has had it really tough the past year or two and now this. Best of wishes for his family and that they pull through these tough times. :(

Oh how awful - thoughts and prayers to his family!

What a tough year for Solder. Wish a speedy recovery for both

Fck. That sucks:( prayers out to his son

Not a good year for Nate.. :(

Wow, amazingly poor luck. How serious is kidney cancer?

That insidious, goddam disease is even more evil when children are afflicted. Thoughts and prayers to the son and family.

I did a quick search. Wilms tumor accounts for 95% of childhood kidney cancer and long term survival is 90-95%. Praying for Nate and family.

Oh no. Way too much cancer in that family. :(

Somewhat like my own family, but the only childhood tumor we had was benign, so that was a mercy ...

Sad news no parent should ever get. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and a long, healthy, and happy life.

Wow that is terrible!
I had kidney cancer (neuroblastoma) when I was 6 months old and was considered cancer free at 2 and a half. I have no long term side affects from the surgery and chemotherapy, except for having my left kidney removed. I was diagnosed in 1979, so I'm sure cancer treatments have come a long way since then. Best wishes to Nate and his family!

No issues growing up with only one kidney?

Thoughts and prayers to the Solder family..

In a strange sense of the manner, perhaps Solder's injury, as devastating as it is for the Patriots and himself, will help him spend more time with his young family, especially in their time of need.

Best wishes to a speedy and full recovery to his young one and the Solder family. At the end of the day, all that matters is family.

The two worst days of my life were when I received cancer diagnoses for my wife and youngest son.

The two best days of my life were when I learned that we found it early for both of them.

Please dear God allow Nate and his family to receive the same positive news.
