Wilms tumor accounts for 95% of childhood kidney cancer and long term survival is 90-95%. Praying for Nate and family.Wow, amazingly poor luck. How serious is kidney cancer?
Wow that is terrible!
I had kidney cancer (neuroblastoma) when I was 6 months old and was considered cancer free at 2 and a half. I have no long term side affects from the surgery and chemotherapy, except for having my left kidney removed. I was diagnosed in 1979, so I'm sure cancer treatments have come a long way since then. Best wishes to Nate and his family!
