The "hug"......embarrassing!!!!

That pic makes me mad. I'm with Bon Jovi. The Krafts continuing to suck up to this guy (or even worse, not even be mad at him) is sickening. Money rules, obviously.

Is Bon Jovi a friend of the Krafts?

I remember him being a friend of BB?

All i'm saying is the hug is not a personal thing. They are using each other for sure. It's a show. An act of unity makes them more money when sponsors see it. If there's instability, both of them lose out.
Yeah? And how about us customers? We don't count? He can just blatantly spit on us?

This is why when I occasionally dipped into the "Corporate World" tended to have issues.. just can't kiss up for kissing up sake.. some folks are meant to be civil servants who go through life saying f.. you.

WTF, How can such smart people do this crap and "spit in our faces". The Kid most of all, he needs to understand that in 3 or 4 years when BB/Brady are gone, they can not count on the fans turnign a blind eye to this crap. At least be dicreet about it and not just throw it in our faces.
Any businessman knows the concept of goodwill in the financial sense. Jonathan needs to understand that the goodwill portion of the Pats' value has a lit fuze burning on it. That fuze will hit the powder when BB and Brady are gone if he doesn't address this openly duplicitous treatment of the fans. BK can no longer be all hug-buddies with Satan one second and give faux tough guy speeches demanding apologies the next. We're onto the scam and resent it mightily.

"The 32" is the most important thing to the Krafts. It's disgusting but it is what it is and Robert told us that himself. This is no surprise. Now, if Brady hugged Goodell, I am not sure how I'd react.

Deep down I wish Kraft threw an uppercut at him, but I know that would have repercussions. He could have at least knocked the cap off his head and walked away.

Better yet, Bon Jovie should have snuck behind him and gotten on his hands and knees behind Goodell's legs. Then after the hug, Kraft should have gently pushed him over. Then just laughed with Bon Jovi like it was a fun prank. That would have been priceless.
Kraft would have no interest in doing any of those things because he likes, supports and openly shows affection for goodell.
He is more likely to kiss him than slap him. I don't know why people think that Kraft feels goodell has done anything wrong because he has done absolutely nothing ever to suggest that.
He is on goodells side not the fans. That is painfully clear.

Just playing devil's advocate here, based on no video and only two still pictures.

If you are Jonathan and Goodell unexpectedly steps towards you with open arms, about to hug you - in that split second, what do you do? Step backwards? Just leave your arms by your side and not give him even a little bit of a hug back? Sure, you can attempt to reach out for a handshake instead, but by then it is probably too late; he already has both his arms around your shoulders.

I know that I have been in that awkward position before when I felt compelled to respond to a hug, even though I would never consider initiating a hug with that other person.

Wonder what Tom Brady and Bill Belichick REALLY think of the Kraft's. I know what I think.
MONEY is their best friend. What other conclusion can you come to after all Goodell has done to hurt this franchise and this QB 'ON THE FIELD'??
(Btw, even Bon Jovi walked away when the hug took place)

sadly, this doesn't surprise me.

Do none of you work in the real world? I hate my boss and some colleagues but I still have to shake their hand when they extend them.
It's professional courtesy to shake hands with your boss and colleagues when it is called for.
I would expect nothing less from the Krafts when dealing with Roger Goodell. That's professionalism.
Nab, when is the last time you HUGGED your boss or a colleague?? That's what we're talking about here.
The Krafts are quite cozy with Roger Goodell.....far beyond any professional courtesy....... and it is disgusting.

two jellyfishes as our owners...i bet they don't allow all of the anti nfl/espn signs into gillette.

krafts care more about their relationships with rog then they do with the most important player in franchise history. amazing that tom takes pay cuts for these douchebags.

Maybe the Krafts think the interest in the Pats is not all about TFB and BB.

I believe they will be proven wrong with a vengeance, post TFB and BB.
I'm interested to see what happens at that point. I tend to think that the business won't skip a beat, but I have no confidence in that. Your scenario seems possible at least.

I'm sure Brady loves it. Thanks for hugging the guy who framed me and is still trying to suspend me in court.

Goodell keeps kicking Kraft in the balls because Kraft keeps thanking him for it. Why would Goodell waste his time trying to have a fair hearing, or being professional? There are no consequences for his actions, just hugs.

This isn't the real world by a long shot. It used to be athletics and now they want to call it entertainment. And I'm not being entertained, especially when I see the owners sucking up to someone so intent on taking down Tom Brady and the team.

Exactly. And I couldn't care less if my dumping them after Brady leaves bothers them or not. It would bother me more to keep supporting a team whose owners think I'm a fool.

Come on man.

I really don't get this whole "frenemy" thing going on between the Krafts and Goodell.

Was the whole "deflategate" farce Roger's way of shedding the image that he is "in the bag" for Kraft? If so, why continue with all these public hugs and handshakes that keep that ridiculous narrative alive?

Are the Krafts so pleased with the NFL's ratings and revenue that they simply don't care about sacrificing the reputation of their franchise to keep the gravy train running? I really hope this isn't the case but I don't see what other conclusion to draw. It is a big f*ck you to their fans and their players and coaches.
