I'm sure they'll be a couple of idiots locally that are on from 2-6 that will spend a half hour on this criticizing Brady.

I wonder if his pushing Edelman up to LOS and tucking Gronk back to the Y (flex) to sell run was just a ploy to distract the D, and furthermore something he thought up on the spot- add a little pizzazz.

There was another play, I can't exactly remember when (pretty sure 3rd quarter) but someone was in motion and Amendola put up his cross arms at the last second ala the Cincy game last year.

Was it another busted trick play or was it a seed planted for the future?

FWIW This was discussed during Brady's interview with D&C this morning. Tom Brady on WEEI 10/26: 'Our execution wasn't great at times'

He said it was an adjustment at the LOS - he needed the extra blocker. Gronk and Danny were in the correct initial placements. Certainly interesting to see this happen. This situation easily could have turned 3rd and 2 into a 3rd and 7 (for illegal formation) or worse (sack, etc.) if we didn't have Brady as QB to sort through it all on the fly.

There were a few other times in the game where the team look a little confused about what Tom wanted. Out of character for this team.

Andrews got completely annihilated by Harris on that play. Jesus

Gronk looked like a Gronk for some of those pre-snaps. "What you want Gronk do? Catch pass? No? No Gronk catch pass. Block? Okay. Gronk block. Yah yah good." ;)

Hmmm, I dunno. The clinching TD to Gronk started with some pre-snap stuff too...calling in Gronk to block, with the ultimate plan for the play to have Gronk release...maybe helped by some similar plays earlier where Gronk stayed in to block.

I think there may be a method to their madness...

Shouldn't be surprising, when they were still putting in plays during the pre-game meeting at 11:00 that morning.

Yesterday was so impressive on so many fronts.

The ability to improv is what separates from Cincy.

Well obviously on that play the confusion was all on the Jets side, but there a few others I remember Tom having to coach people into position or to move late.
