NFL reprimands two officials for miscues in separate Monday Night Football games

Meanwhile, the league would not confirm Wilson's reassignment, citing its policy against detailing officiating crews before games. But a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed Wilson will not work with referee Tony Corrente in Sunday night's nationally televised game between the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts.

Instead, Wilson will work with Jeff Triplette's crew in Sunday afternoon's game between the Miami Dolphins and Tennessee Titans.

Moved from Sunday Night Football to Miami - Tennessee, ouch.

I don't like it at all. I'm officially now worried about the Refs for this game. I can see the league preventing a blowout by nefarious means. I'll picket the AG's office if it smells bad. I hate this League management.

subbing in for him is johnny kensil - mike's nephew

I actually checked the ESPN article to see if you're joking. No mention of who will ref the game.

Ehh come on I don't think the NFL is that corrupt. Petty and powerhungry, but not tell-refs-to-keep-a-game-close corrupt.

Still it's funny. Pulled for the SNF game but not a 1:00PM game. Meaning, it's not important for us that you get it right, just that you don't get it wrong in primetime.

Sunday night's new crew:

People make mistakes.

In the NFL, if a ref makes a mistake, he is suspended and publicly humiliated.

If the dipshit commissioner makes a series of very high profile, publicly embarrassing stupendous blunders, he is given a gigantic bonus and an even bigger raise.

My prediction?

Brady throws for 10 touchdowns and the Colts win* 70-0

*Walt Anderson replaces Ref Greg Wilson. Roger Goodell asks Anderson his best recollection as to who scored the touchdowns. Goodell asserts Anderson mis-remembers Brady throwing the TDs and assumes the opposite, giving the Colts a 70-0 victory

What is the logic here? If they consider him sub-standard, he should be suspended, not passed off on a lower visibility game. If not, why move him? Where's the integrity?

That's true everywhere. Look at the President of VW who resigns with a golden parachute after a huge scandal that may have cost lives and is going to do huge damage to his company.

Integrity

I posted Tuesday that Corrente called FIFTEEN penalties against the Pats the last time he reffed a game they played in. Guess Fecesdell doesn't think he's enough of a "sherriff"..#integrity of a tick

Corrected is still working the Sunday night game. Wilson was removed from his crew to be moved to the 'Phins game.

Lulz. That was "Corrente" but got corrected by auto-(mis)spell. Appropriately. I love it when the 'bots sign their work.

But they hate the league as much as us, how could they be influenced...

I thought it was an appropriate nickname.

Look at the other 5 most recent Pats games he reffed. They called a total of 15 penalties in all 5 games or an average of 3 penalties per games. Pats were 4-2 in those games, losing a playoft game to Denver and to Miami in. 2013.
