So, after week 3, SI predicts a showdown between CIN and NE? Now, that's a bit premature. Last year, people were counting the Pack out of it, until they went on a tear. And they beat the Pats in a regular season game. A 3-0 start is good, but as BB stated more recently: Three wins will get a lot of coaches fired.

That column is hilarious.

Pretty sure nothing in that article is meant to be taken literally. And FWIW I thought it was pretty funny.

The ginger Tebow is the great hope!

SI's innovative thinking in week 3.

Sketch of article:

AFC: Which teams are 3-0?

Predict AFC Championship matchups between 3-0 teams. Also mention any other 3-0 teams and obvious preseason favorites.

NFC: Which teams are 3-0?

Predict NFC Championship matchups between 3-0 teams. Also mention any other 3-0 teams and obvious preseason favorites.

So innovative.

As has been pointed out about a dozen times by now, IT WAS A COMEDY PIECE!

"10. This image is terrifying. Warren Buffett being an Ndamukong Suh fan is terrifying
A violent, merciless monster with the support and backing of a billionaire? This is the story of the origin of countless super villains. And we already have Robert Kraft funding Bill Belichick and the Patriots. Who is there to save us?

Andy Dalton? The Red Rifle?

To quote Cam Newton: “Jeez.”

This guy is pretty funny.

The Pats have made it. They are the Evil Empire. Almost want to shed a tear in joy.

The more articles I see like this, the more it legitimizes the Pats greatness!

So frickin sensitive some of you.

Critics of the suspension also point out that Brady is sitting out the same amount of games as Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy, who was involved in a domestic violence incident that was much more severe than deflating footballs.

"They're not even remotely comparable,'' Costas said. "But the league can say (Hardy) sat out all but one game last year although he was paid, and our penalty for this year was 10 games and an arbitrator reduced it to four so that's not our judgment, and (Brady's suspension) goes to the integrity of the game. They say it's consistent with four-game penalties for using performance-enhancing drugs on the first offense."

""To me, this seems more like watering down the infield or the playing field to slow down a speedy opponent or pine tar on a bat. It's gamesmanship. It's not awful, but it became awful because of the way the league perhaps overreacted and Brady himself didn't say what he could've said."

So what? Who cares what that little midget thinks about anything?

So he could've said I did it, I'm sorry, even though the balls were right where they were supposed to be and he didn't do a damn thing. I thought Costas was supposed to be a smart guy.

who cares what a nationally televised sports pundit thinks on one of the biggest national TV morning shows? really? what does it take for you to sit up and take notice? worldwide coverage? galactic astronomically observed coverage? what............

Why do I care what Bob Costas, who knows little if anything about the New England Patriots and their franchise, has spoken to their QB 2 or 3 times ever - and if it's not related to baseball - bases his opinions on the most general of ESPN and TMZ headlines...has to think about anything?

Seriously. Who cares. If you liked baseball and he was talking about the St. Louis Cardinals, maybe you'd listen a little bit, I guess. His job is to get clicks. He's apparently gotten yours.

I don't care. I really, really don't. The stuff I hear from national people gives me an idea what people nationally are thinking, but in terms of my team and what I think, it affects me exactly 0%.

Haters gon' hate.

Costas bought the Wells report. That puts in company with about 99.5% of the country, at least at the start. He continued buying into the nonsense at least until after the appeal. That puts him in company without about 95.9% of the country, at least until the judge ordered everything made public. Even so, he belittled the seriousness of the issue, and fired a shot at the NFL:

Costas said that with Deflate-Gate, the NFL "turned a misdemeanor into a federal case, both figuratively and literally."

Costas is way down on the list of people Patriots fans should be pissed at about deflategate.

Remains to be seen if three wins would get Marvin Lewis fired. He's twice survived four win seasons, not to mention going 0-6 in his playoff appearances. He would have a hard time beating a Clive Rush coached team in the post season; him beating Belichick is delusional.
