Media Blackout

I'm gonna enjoy season more than any in my life. It literally is us against the world. Look out bioches. Unleash the Kraken. Of course, I'll be watching on Streams, not any MFL affiliate.

Can we bring Randy Moss aboard? I think he still wants a SB ring. With all the outside motivation provided, this is going to be the ultimate F*** YOU - season. Steelers are the first to get steamrolled. Undefeated 2015-2016!!

They should Marshawn Lynch on the ESPN rosters even Reiss and Tedy. They are a scum operation, no access should be given.

I think Belichick should just start aggressively leaking every last bit of dirt he has on every coach, player and franchise in the league. Air out everyone's dirty laundry, and see who comes out of that looking good. The whole point of MAD is that as long as both sides have nukes to launch, neither will.

Well, the NFL already launched all of its nukes. Time to launch back, if only to show that you weren't ****ing around.

More space for the writers to make stuff up.

Use CBS and SI and anything but espn and nfl.com/ Pro football reference is a great resource.

Patriots should collectively answer no media questions. BB should ramp up the 'on to' and 'Ive already addressed that' comments. Players should all answer only in platitudes such as in Bull Durham.
If the media wants to trash the franchise the franchise should exclude the media completely.

I agree...but in a way, the Patriots are already paying for their lack of cooperation with the media. If Belichick had been given them great sound bites for the past 15 years, I think most of them wouldn't want to bite the hand that feeds them. Let's take Parcells for example: Belichick has applied the same rules as Parcells did (head coach is the lone voice among coaches, no position coach talks to the media) but since Parcells was great at entertaining the media, they were not as critical of Parcells than they are of Belichick.

In general, the media folks are lazy. Much easier to write about a great quote than searching for great stories. And for some reason, the media still feel entitled to get the coaches and players to interact with them, all in the name of representing the fans that want to know what these players and coaches have to say. Now with social media, I don't think that's true anymore...players and coaches can interact directly with the fans. There's no need for a third party reporting quotes anymore, but the media (and the paper press in particular) don't seem to get with the times.

The Patriots should invoke the spirit of Marshawn Lynch's now infamous "I'm just here so I don't get fined" speech for everything and everyone connected to NFL Network and ESPN. Leave all their official commentary for objective Patriots reporters.
