Dan Graziano of ESPN: Brady's camp does not expect Berman to rule in their favor

I suppose it's as good a time as any to repeat that no matter what happens, I'm glad Brady is fighting.

I'd much rather take the hit and have him suspended for four games than to have any kind of settlement and take two games or whatever.

Still hoping obviously, just saying.

"On the union/Brady side" =/= "Brady's camp." Why on Earth would the NFLPA or Kessler say anything like this in the first place?

And ESPN (Josina Anderson) had yesterday that sources close to Brady and the NFLPA thought they could win on all four counts. Unfortunately, we have no idea who they spoke to and how close to the case they are. There are a lot of people in the Union, but only a very small handful are connected to the case.

At least the ESPN report yesterday brought up how the NFLPA source was surprised that the media hadn't picked up another Judge Berman ruling from 4 months ago where he overturned an arbitrator's decision. That at least showed that the source was close to case and knew what was going on.

There should be a sever penalty for any member who posts any more BS from the BSPN. I probably would have gone critical if there had been a link included, but anything that gives that pile of **** in Bristol any semblance of credence does NOT need to be on these pages.

Maybe int he future when one of these mutts actually has some news to offer, we can add it to our collection of sources, but this is another in a long line of BSPN reports that start ....."according to sources I have......" and then offers nothing but speculation and his source could just as easily be a gnat that crawled up Goodell's ass for all we know, or one of the numerous voices in his head.

These mutts DON'T deserve the benefit of the doubt as long as they are pimping for "the shield"

Because ESPN are f***ing liars, that's why ;p

It's just football guys. It's suppose to be entertainment.

Even if Berman doesn't rule in Brady's favor, try to find entertainment value in the outcome. For me, it will be watching Angry Brady (who will be the most hated man in the NFL) strike fear in the hearts of his opponents and put tears in the eyes of mothers and their children as he exhibits the most extreme form of barbarian aggression we have ever witnessed on a football field.

You do realize that there are people on this board who will say they don't think the Pats will beat Jacksonville on week 3 with Brady in the line up. Pessimism isn't news. Some people are naturally pessimistic. Who knows if Graziano's source is indicative of what say Jeffrey Kessler believes or even close to reality?

We know the odds were against Brady based on the law alone. That doesn't mean much of anything. But that doesn't mean the blatant arrogance of the NFL and Judge Berman's emphasis of fundamental fairness in his rulings doesn't make this an outlier case.

Basically, they are saying what everyone has said all along. They like their case, think it has a better chance at being overturned than most arbitration awards, but realize its an uphill battle. I call this "nothing news."

Not the news I was hoping to hear today, but the context doesn't seem as bad as the headline suggests. Either way, going to remain optimistic/hopeful until we see the final result.

I could have said this about Brady 4 or 5 years ago. But at this point in his life, with kids and a marriage, I think he would be a little worn out by all this, and I'm not sure he's as aggressive anymore.

I'd still be concerned with him being away from the game for a month, losing timing etc with the receivers. . And the first game back on Sunday night football against the Colts where you know they'll be tearing him to pieces on the air ...

then if he's rusty, media everywhere will be like "Tom Brady with properly inflated balls struggles mightily, is the GOAT a fraud!?" Or something along those lines

The only problem with the logic on the "judges rarely overturn" is that the NFLPA submitted 18 cases similar to this one that were overturned and one of them was in the last 4 months and was overturned by Berman, himself.

So that reason just seems a little odd as it was one of their strong points.

He's either making this up at the request of the nfl via his employer or it is some employee that is no where near the Brady case meetings.
