Based on what I have read so far, tf this fiasco is allowed to stand then the law as it pertains to justice is REALLY F'd up. Of course it already was/is F'd up, however, in circumstances where misbehavior/injustice is SO blatant I'd still like to think even the F'd up law can see its way through to a just outcome.

Agreeing to let Goodell have this kind of authority was ill advised to begin with. The investigation was so screwed up, it's hard to believe that it wasn't biased. What a fiasco!

It's going to be impossible to ever take the NFL seriously again after this.

Page 26 and 27. 'Are we taking about 2 tenths psi?'

Now it's out there for public consumption about how much air Well's implies was released.

@Ian - Please shut of the twitter scroll bar temporarily. It is bogging down my whole system.

Supposedly this authority is not new, never was an issue with other commishes, its just that goodell is incompetent and abuses his power

O.J. Simpson says "Hi"

Of course, I think the prosecution team may have gone on to train the NFL's team.....

.@smartfootball That is as much of a boom roasted as anything you see in a hearing. And then this tl;dr #Deflategate>

p41: Nash invokes head of Princeton Physics department.

I don't recall hearing about this. What did he say?
He was the guy they got to sign off on Wells report. McIntyre emailed him two weeks ago asking him to admit a specific mistake where a graph was used incorrectly that showed Patriots balls fell out of the IGL, when the correct graph would have shown otherwise. He never replied.

He is a dirtbag with no integrity, he got his check and now he doesn't care. And he should never be able to speak using his credentials as evidence without being reminded that he will do shoddy work, and sign his name to garbage for the right price.

Screw Princeton physics for allowing such an amoral ******* to collect a check.

And if anyone around here has his contacts you should ask him why he will not admit his mistake while someone innocent gets screwed.

When will people like yourself STOP with this nonsense. Article 46 has been in the CBA since the 60s. It's not like it was just put in during the last negotiation. Unlike Rozell and Tagliabue, Goodell is abusing the power given to him in this regard.. And it's bit him in the arse the last 3 times..

I thought it was interesting that Nash insisted that deflation was obviously an integrity of the game issue because it was an action that would create an unfair advantage (non-level playing field),

yet...

Kessler pointed out that some very specific wording under equipment violations rules, such as the prohibition on the use of stick-em, wherein the rule points out that a fine is warranted because such actions would create an unfair advantage.

So there are indeed well-defined punishments for actions that within a game are said to create an unfair advantage, yet the NFL seems to be arguing that this level of severity, to the point of creating an unfair advantage, is precisely what flips any ball deflation violation into being an integrity of the game issue.

Their argument is leaky.

ok. I'll stop

Lol NFL can't believe the **** they are spewing. Everyone involved has ruined their career.

If I wanted someone to cherry pick every little detail why we should be scared to death that we're gonna lose I'd just go read Munson on ESPN. Every other post here is now crazed pessimism poorly disguised as devils advocate.

I like how Berman points out Pash/Wells legal expertise and knows that Pash not keeping records of the changes he made to the Wells report must be deliberate, simply because Pash knows better. Also Wells convenient omission of the AFCCG date anywhere in the report to keep it as vague as possible, Berman knows was a deliberate lawyer tactic. Even if Brady were proven innocent for the AFCCG somehow, Wells report would still assert he did at some other point in time.

He was Exponent's external advisor. In the Brady appeal transcripts, he described his role as reviewing Exponent's work with a skeptical eye.

On multiple occasions in that appeal, he described Exponent's product as, "a first-class piece of work." I would agree with that, but for different reasons than the professor.....
