PFT sums it all up

I'll call it a nice summation to start with. Until we can get into the emails and people inside the League office, that is just a short list of questions compared to what's lurking behind the firewall (so to speak).

Wonder if there's an Edward Snowden-type in the league office

I would hope. I've said for a very long time, a raid of ALL major league offices would yield shocking results, leading with the NFL and make any other scandal seem like child's play.

I think it's time to give upon the media questions, unfortunately. The piling on of the Wolf/Goodell exchange is what's getting the press. The media is going to drop the whole NFL is bad storyline because its just not getting traction with people. Everyone is happy with "Brady cheated screw you guys".

Our only hope is this judge gives us a fair shake. And the way everything is going I'd put it at best at 50/50.

The reports of NFL concerns with Columbia leaking a scientific study really, really grates on me. In all the years of schooling, the one thing that I always took to heart was that science and experimentation were things that HAD TO BE DONE IN SUNLIGHT. Peer review, reproducibility, transparency. This is required for any science to be acceptable. The idea of an independent investigation trying to hush a scientific inquiry is anathema. Again, proof that the NFL was not interested in discovering the truth, but rather in propping up a narrative gone wrong.

Not that I'm encouraging this, but if some enthusiastic Pats fans were to kidnap Goodell and ask him these questions while water boarding him and then release a video with his confessions, I wouldn't hate it.

While I live in MA, i'm in the state of Maine pretty much the entire summer. My family treks up and down the coast regularly.

I admit, I want to (but will never...) just randomly drive to Scarborough and go for a run or walk my dogs around his neighborhood and hope to run into him. My intention is to not do anything bad, but give him good piece of my mind and say things like...

"Is trumping up charges and without evidence on a player who represents everything that is good about football over ball pressure really in the best interest of the league? Really?"

"Roger, as someone who also leads people and answers to investors let me give you some advice. The best way to show integrity is to say, 'I screwed up, and this is exactly what I will do to fix the reasons why this happened and then execute". Trust me, that goes a long way. '."

You should invite Joker up for a barbecue. Literally, have a Goodell BBQ.

If the judge orders the release of all the report notes .... it will be a field day.

Funny how Loudmouth Smith changes his mind a day before his show rolls into Foxboro. Coincidence....I think not.

No it won't those notes are gone.
"I don't know what happened your honor. They were on a shelf above the shredder, knocked off by an accident, of course, and it was the darndest thing....they fell right in perfectly. We hired exponent to try and forensicly reconstruct them but they were unable. Sorry."
