".Patriots Rage: a condition characterized by deep resentment of the New England Patriots. It afflicts millions, including, one would suspect, many of Roger Goodell's bosses — who are sick and tired of the scheming Patriots kicking their behinds......Patriots Rage, I believe, is what allowed Roger Goodell to mangle the Deflategate investigation and still walk off to a standing ovation in many precincts, as if the only mandate here was, “Bury those cheating scoundrels by any means necessary.”
The Commish apparently thought he could murder the truth in his 20-page denial of Tom Brady's appeal and get away with it.
He almost did, too.
But a judge named Berman sent Goodell rumblin', bumblin' and stumblin' into yet another massive public humiliation. One that should, by all rights, cost him his job (but likely won't).
