It's easy, and only takes a few moments. If he's hoping for an impartial decision to be made, TB12 has a better chance of having his hearing in front of the Soup Nazi. It's almost like Goodell was gloating that they signed a really bad deal (CBA) and he's enjoying throwing it in their face. Literally every step along the process here has been so predictable.
Does anyone not know what Goodell's 'fair' decision of the appeal is going to be?
Is there any way for Brady to save the 4 weeks of theatrics and file charges now?
This (or some version of it) is my biggest fear. There's no way Brady wins his appeal. And after careful consultation with Kraft, he will not go to court and accept his punishment.
He expects Brady to show up, beg and kiss his boot. He is in for a surprise. The NFL is rotten to the core. FYI this screen shot is 100% real.

I am not saying someone should do this, as it is illegal, but damn it would be nice if h@-ck/ed emails from Goodell and Kensil, and any one else at the NFL, got out.
He is a turd. The reality is if he had anything to support the suspension he wouldn't be so desperate to hear the appeal himself. He is to stupid to realize he is just confirming and drawing attention to the malicious fraud that he is.http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...roger-goodell-to-nflpa-regarding-brady-appeal
This is just amazing....the arrogance
"I do not have any first-hand knowledge of any of the events at issue. (That fact makes this matter very different from theRice appeal, in which there was a fundamental dispute over what Mr. Rice told me in a meeting at the league office.) Nor did I play a role in the investigation that led to Mr. Brady's discipline. Furthermore, there is no reasonable basis for dispute -- or for any testimony -- about authority for the discipline reflected in the letter signed by Mr. Vincent. The letter itself is clear on this point. And there is no basis for my testifying about prior instances in which discipline was considered or imposed for similar conduct; if that were the case, the NFLPA could seek my recusal in every conduct detrimental proceeding, directly contrary to our agreement that I have the "discretion" to hear "any" appeal."

When it comes to CBA matters, neither the Patriots nor the NFL is Brady's team. Brady's a team player, and his team is the NFLPA.
So in other words, Goodell's hatred towards all things Patriots is only going to come back and stab him in the back?
Maybe one of us fans can register a goodellcontext site and write our side of goodell's letterWas this not entirely expected? Should we eagerly anticipate Goodelllettercontext.com?
Indeed. He is saying he is taking accountability for the punishment; however, he will still hear the appeal and his mind is open; also, he has no prior knowledge of the facts. As in "I punished you, but I don't actually know anything about what you did, so I'm totally unbiased in hearing your appeal."Isn't it, by the CBA, that only Goodell can "punish" a player for Integrity and by having Troy Vincent send otu the letter, means that TB doesn't have any suspension. Thus, Goodell has refused to levy a verdict on the issue and Brady is free to play?
It's be like a cop saying I had my guy arrest Brady and there's a law saying the cop can't deputize someone, thus the arrest is null and void.
EDIT: Apparently Goodie has taken that into account for his response. Basically just saying everyone can piss off because he is the God-King of the NFL.
Q. I know we're reaching Deflategate saturation, but I just found out what bugged me most about the entire situation. Part of what's alleged is that systematic deflating has occurred based on texted "deflator" messages from last May. But if that was the case, how could the footballs used in the Jets game last October be so overinflated? The text reactions from that game don't sound like employees figuring out why a clandestine effort to deflate the balls didn't happen. -- Erik N. (Ewa Beach, Hawaii)
A. Erik, the Wells report was far from conclusive. It makes a leap that those text messages from May are tied to the AFC Championship Game. That's a shaky connection from my viewpoint. As for the October game against the Jets, when the balls were overinflated per John Jastremski's text messages, one could draw the conclusion that was when Tom Brady and the staff started thinking more about PSI levels and were more aware of the pre-game process of footballs. But again, that requires a connecting of the dots that is anything but definitive. For me, as a believer that Tom Brady has represented most everything that is good about the game over the last 15 years, this is the part that leaves a bad taste. The league, with Roger Goodell presiding, took this to a level that has irreparably damaged Brady's reputation with a clear lack of definitive proof. I think it was poorly handled and the lack of accountability from the NFL is a major disappointment to me.
