So, THIS YEAR, the Patriots turned in footballs to the officials for inspection, and got them back at 16 psi?

Why isn't anyone talking about this?

Because it does not fit the Pats-bashing agenda by the feeding frenzy that is the media ATM...

I'm guessing you don't know where the NFL headquarters is located.

And you'd be wrong of course. Look, it's really childish to run around pointing fingers. It's Goodell, it's Wells, it's NY jealousy. Bull S___.

Why isn't anyone talking about this?

Because it doesn't show that the Pats were cheating. That's all people care about. That's the answer the NFL, the Boston media, and every other fanbase wants. Anything else is not interesting and is discarded.

I just got done reading most of the report. Mind as well been written in crayon. For the life of me, 6 months of investigation, and on a payroll for this garbage is just a laughing stock. And what's sad is only an innate idiot like myself would actually take the time to ready the whole thing. What's sadder is that your average hater/reporter or sports fan won't read a page of this thing to comprehend how actually bogus this report is, but will spout off in their own article, tweet- message board-conversation on the street about how egregious Brady and the Patriots are. How they should be fined, loss of draft pick, Brady suspended. I just wish people would educate themselves before they spoke about things they know nothing of. It's hilarious in a way, but very maddening to think some fans or writers, broadcasters like Shannon Sharpe would speak before knowing the facts, or lack there of. I mean how can Sharpe be so offended so quickly after the report was released? It just took me 2 hours to really digest the preschool nursery rhyme. How long did it take him? Stick to football Shannon. You are only there because you have a big fat opinionated mouth like Warren Sapp. Karma came for him. Hopefully it comes for you too pos.

How we feeling about that "not limited to," chief?

Included to not limited to.....if you're caught.

Correct me if I'm wrong chief, but has someone been caught at fault in this investigation?

The answer: No........but maybe, probably, most likely, I think, who knows, etc., etc

Since that's the case, how can one justify giving out a higher penalty than the base penalty stated....especially when there's no specific person at fault.

Earth to everybody:

The Colts had under inflated balls too. In the same game.

Period.

Unless this is the Twilight Zone, that's conversation over.

Worst for Brady: saying he didn't know McNally's name; called/texted Jastremki 3 days str8 after title game with no such contact prev 6 mo

Rich Eisen ‏@richeisen 7m7 minutes ago
And yet...if McNally was Brady's tamperer, you'd think he'd lavish him with gifts. Instead, McNally wanted Brady to go have sex with himself

Rich Eisen ‏@richeisen 5m5 minutes ago
Patriots counsel refused to have McNally available for 2nd interview -- awful optic. Wells hammered team on it throughout report.

Rich Eisen ‏@richeisen 3m3 minutes ago
That said, even Wells, in page 122 of report, offered this in footnote: Brady 11-21, 95 yds, TD in 1st half. 12-14, 131 yds, 2 TD in 2nd H.
I don't understand how texting Jastremski is proof he knew McNally. Wouldn't texting McNally be proof? And of course he contacted the guy in charge of the balls right after they were questioned. Who wouldn't?

Might as well say Ted Wells contacted McNally so Ted Wells clearly was in on the conspiracy.

Brady: I don't know who McNally is

(Wells finds zero evidence of Brady knowing McNally)

Wells: Well I don't believe you, so you lied.

:) Oh Todd, Todd, Todd. I admire your aspirational view of the league, but the NFL, as regards the Pats, seems to replicate (with the help of various media outlets) the general plot of the trial of Socrates.

As I recall, he had a jury of 500 Athenians, 300 of whom found him guilty of corrupting the youth, introducing strange gods, etc.

Okay fine, you say, them's the rules of Athens, right?

The principle argument was that a great society like Athens would not try a man of such charges unless he were guilty.

Then in the sentencing phase, a far larger number voted for the death penalty.

The argument was that a society as great as Athens, having found him guilty of such heinous crimes, could not in all good conscience settle on a lesser penalty.

The upshot: Some number of jurors sentenced Socrates to death for crimes that they did not believe he committed.

Turn on your TV to NFLN or ESPN and see if you think it'll be limited to 25K.

"More probable than not" (as we've learned here) is code for "preponderance of evidence" in NFL-land, which is code for "punishable threshold."

So I'm not thinking Brady's going to have to pay 25K and that's that. (Maybe those other two guys, who would actually feel the 25K.)

Thought I would come here to see the reaction.

The fact of the matter, and we all knew this was going to be true, is that the Patriots would never truly be exonerated, cause you need to justify that unimaginable large bill the NFL is gonna receive in the mail.

What a complete and utter waste of resources. The NFL deserves to be duped out of millions...the problem is they know they are gonna get it back.

Love the game of football, the League looks like a clown...they are lucky the AFL is not an option cause Kraft would head on over in a second and end up crushing the NFL.

Amazing...our house will remain more undivided than it ever was...

What a private little Hell we NE Patriots fans find ourselves in...

You can't have a logical convo with haters because emotional people do not accept logic. And so we are stuck with "I think you did it" and that's the game ?

Wells: Well I don't believe you, so you lied.

I live in a cul-de-sac. There are 6 houses.

We socialize with four of the houses/families. They are the best.

The other house might as well be The Munsters. Unkept property. Grass 4 ft long. Other than the man drives a Toyota and the woman a Toureg and are both overweight, I don't know their names or what they look like up close. I don't even know their names.

We've been here 12 years.

To assume I know someone that lives 50 yards from me is logical, but not accurate.

Yes, Ray, a likely/possible joke by a guy is evidence in this case. I'm sorry you're not capable of grasping that concept. Again, go try learning something.

And your question wasn't "easy". It was stupid. We were already talking about the evidence when you asked your question.

Was the joke about deflating legal footballs, or was it about inflating football's to absurd proportions, proportions to which they had been inflated previously (16).

Brady said he liked them at 12.5.

that's legal.

So, no evidence whatsoever of anything illegal, even jokingly.

They looked for fingerprints, but there were none there.

...set, match.

Yes, the NEPatriots... the team you can beat every way except in a game of football.

Maybe I missed it in skimming the report, but I don't recall seeing evidence of the chain of custody for the Colts' balls.

There's only one response and it is perfect. Our own long time GM/personnel guy Bucko Kilroy, when he was a fierce linneman for the Eagles.
__________________________________________
'Kilroy has a simple response for those opposing players, and media members, who described him as a dirty football player.

"That is the reply of losers," he said.

"The losers will never admit that the Eagles were just the more physical team, or that the Eagles just wanted it more. The losers will not state, 'Wow! The Eagles physically blew us off the line of scrimmage running Van Buren down our throats!' The losing teams always had an excuse stating the Eagles were a dirty football team.'

Now, see, Ray, you're now looking at the evidence, and coming up with a counter theory. That's not the same thing as the evidence not being evidence, but at least you're getting closer to grasping the obvious.

I posted a nice, easy to understand, definition of "Evidence" just a few minutes back. Go check it out.

He's right that it's evidence. I think you are really arguing that some of the evidence shouldn't be considered because it doesn't have value.

You know what? I don't give a ****. I love BB, Kraft and Brady. Above all ... I love the Pats. The advantage gained from slightly circumventing a 70 year old rule is negligible at best. Screw Goodell. Go Pats!!!

The NFL publicly said they would eject Marshawn Lynch from the NFC Championship Game if he wore gold cleats. A one-game suspension for gold-freaking-cleats. Link: http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/...hawn-lynch-pete-carroll-russell-wilson-011815

I'm just a visiting Seahawks fan, but after reading a lot of this report and all the text messages in it, Brady deserves to be suspended for a good number of games. Sorry, most of you won't like it, but too bad. Compare what the league was threatening to do to Lynch in a critical playoff game FOR THE COLOR OF HIS CLEATS to what everyone now FACTUALLY knows about Brady from this report and there is literally no defense in favor of not suspending Brady.

Fact, not opinion.
