Florio: Jets File Tampering charges AGAINST Pats

One thing is clear. The Jets do not know what tampering is. They tamper when they don't think they are tampering and they accuse others of tampering when they aren't tampering.

Woody and the team need to attend "Tampering 101".

Or....

They know that they are going to get slammed with a stiff penalty and are taking a what the hell attitude.

If Kraft convinces Revis to come back while the Jets pay him 39 million guaranteed, there should be no penalty. that's just great front office maneuvering.

Well, we're Patriot fans and you're a Jets fan. It's not exactly "where's waldo?"

I had a feeling this would happen. I saw the Kraft interview, and though I thought it was all past tense, he kept getting Revis questions and kept talking about it. Watch us lose a draft choice now and Johnson's tampering will get swept under the rug. Though Kraft was asked about that as well. The only quote that worries me is, "as a fan, I wish we kept him", still past tense, but somewhat close to Johnson's "if we knew we could have gotten him for 12 mill", that could be construed as past tense as well, though I think he said something to the effect of "we would love to have him back" or something, which was classic tampering.

Wait, this isn't April Fools a week early? Can't hardly believe the Jets are trying this for real.

In other thoughts, the Jets are so clearly a joke of an organization, shouldn't the NFL consider moving the Jets out to LA? Relieve NY of its misery?

You know, like how sometimes high draft picks get traded for a bag of beans two years later because they're just not working out and need a change of scenery? Haven't the Jets entire and distinguished history of futility suggest a similar move? Why would hte Rams move? At least they have been good and still have some good pieces. Maybe the Jets and the Raiders can go share LA together.

I have the perfect solution for Goodell here. Make Woody sell the team and have the new owners move it to LA. NJ still has the Giants, NY the Bills, and the Jets can feel at home in a huge media market with fans who possess very little sports knowledge. Oh, and the Raiders would probably be pissed.

On the positive side, this will expose the hypocrites in the media. We will see who makes a big deal of this after what Johnson said pretty much went ignored. Well, other than talking about the boarder wars between the Pats and Jets.

This already exposed Manish Mehta for praising the Jets for being smart when he condemned the Pats for being petty a few days ago. Whether or not the Pats were petty, this move by the Jets is far more petty.

The league has an obligation to investigate the Patriots for deflate gate. I don't like how the league handled it but I don't think they did it because they're the Patriots... They screwed up because the NFL is incompetent in everything they do. See ray rice and Peterson from the same league year.

As for spygate... Pats broke the rules after being warned and were punished. I thought the punishment was too severe but it is what it is. Spygate was nearly 10 years ago, time to let it go.
