2015 NFL Free Agent Signings Thread

Not very many beasts signing on with the Patriots. Since free agency began they have lost from their
roster: Revis, Vereen, Browner, Casillas, and Ayers. Other than their own free agents, they have gained:
Sheard, Gibson, Dorsey, Chekwa, and Freeny. Are the Patriots better or worse than they were on March
9th? Wilfork is still in limbo.
Like every year we'll find out around games6-8 what we have ..............

I am thinking our OL - receivers - LB'ers and of course QB
will be amongst the best in the NFL after the draft and summer cut pickups are over.

Belichick is the rolling stone that gathers no moss.

I guess all good things must come to an end... :(

We made it like 45 pages without bickering and name calling. I was so hopeful for what we could achieve.

All is lost.

@RapSheet: The #Jets are finalizing a 4-year contract for former #Chargers safety Marcus Gilchrist, source said. He will sign tomorrow.

Oregon style, fast-paced offense with multiple RBs who are capable of making big plays.

Murray
Sproles
Matthews
Listening to the Nutty Professor's press conferences have been interesting. I've made a concerted effort to tune in when Kelly is speaking. I think I have an understanding of his roster construction plan which appears to be heavily predicated on improving draft position, collecting assets, building himself financial flexibility and bringing in the players he wants for the system he has. Kelly appears to understand and value the economics of asset collection and option flexibility. I can't fault that.

Kelly's plan may or may not work but I'm gradually seeing something come together. He was rather emphatic when discussing the use of three different types of back at Oregon and spreading the load. As of today, the Eagles have the ability to do that.

I live in PA and I've really been unable to stand the Eagles for a long time, but I am coming around to them a little bit, just because Chip is so interesting.

True ... when Reid was there it was always decent season with predictable play and fizzle at playoffs.

Jets defense, if he signs, at the 'top' (obviously still in flux):

Harrison
Richardson
Wilkerson
Ellis

Coples
Davis
Harris
Pace
Babin

Revis
Cromartie
Skrine
Wilson
Milliner
Walls

Gilchrist
Pryor
Landry

Rex is cursing the sky right now. That is a defense he could do some real damage with.

I mean, in theory, that's a pretty good defense. Some of those groups are really deep. Hard to say, but they got a lot better quickly. Now just depends on if they can put it together on the field.

Everyone hates on Idzik so bad, but it was his lack of spending last year that gave them the money to buy all these players this year.

Hilarious. You complain about people using this to talk about other stuff other than FA signings but yet you continue to post the jests defense

Hypocrite

Absolutely, although he's got the makings of a good one in Buffalo. This division is going to be very interesting this season.

Don't forget the Minny RB to come .......... two picks in the top 38. Somebody lit a fire over there.

They've also upgraded the QB position (Fitzpatrick), and gotten a traditional WR1 (Marshall) to pair with Decker.

Moving and shaking....

Granted I'd rather have Murray & Mathews than Shady but that's a lot of money tied up in two backs who have both had injury concerns over the years.

On the other hand maybe it's brilliant that they now have two decent backs for the price of one expensive one. He's either insane or a genius.

Sam Bradford is another one with injury issues. Does Chip have some fountain of youth in Philly or are his strength and conditioning methods that much better to be taking these chances?

The afc east will be much better. Shouldnt tougher competition be better for the pats? There will be added pressure for the jests to make the playoffs. I hope they fail miserably!

Yeah, it seems as though Idzik was looking at the bigger picture, when he probably should've been looking at the more immediate future.

No matter what anyone says, I still wouldn't have fired Rex Ryan. The guy had nothing to work with. It says a lot that he was picked up by a team who actually had a winning record, and now he's going to be a pain in the ass all over again.

Not if We land Harvin and Bush we will be unstoppable on third down.
We need a D tackle and some secondary help and throw in Chandler to boot.

Harvin + Bush and the returning offense we have would be insane. If they stay healthy, it could be 07 like.
